Offering a convenient stay close to the airport, the hotel features comfortable, newly renovated rooms and a reliable shuttle service, though cleanliness inconsistencies and the ease of car theft have drawn criticism.
Needed a last minute place to stay near the airport due to snow delays in NYC. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Price was reasonable. Complimentary late checkout was provided. Room was big and clean. Shuttle to the airport runs every 30 minutes. Ruby Tuesday's within walking distance.
This is a budget hotel but it does everything well. Clean, newly renovated rooms. Extremely friendly staff and even fun things going on for guests- I was the “guest of the day” on my most recent stay and it included several special perks. There are clearly employees here that truly care about the guest experience, it’s why we keep coming back.
Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport earns five stars in my reckoning, and without apology. When one books a hotel by the airport, one asks for simple virtues. A comfortable bed. A shower that works. A room kept clean and proximity to the airport. Here, all are delivered, and promptly so. Any goodness beyond that is but a welcome bonus. I know not why some would judge this place as though they sought a Ritz and felt wronged in its absence. Such expectations miss the mark entirely. The staff here are excellent, friendly, attentive, and quick to help, which counts for far more than polish for polish’s sake. As for the breakfast, it is exactly what such places promise. Hot, filling, and sufficient to carry thee through until a proper meal may be had. I passed it by, for powdered eggs and I are old enemies, but I begrudge no one who partakes. I grant these five stars in part to restore balance against those whose hopes were misplaced. Know what thou art booking, and this place delivers fully.
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Place Atlanta Airport-South and had a good overall experience. The location is excellent if you’re catching an international flight. You can get to the international terminal in about 10 minutes using the loop road without needing to get back on the interstate, which was extremely convenient and stress-free. Breakfast was good, and I especially want to mention Shanette at the front desk — she was very friendly and helpful with answering our questions and made check-in easy. The room was comfortable and met expectations. The only thing to keep in mind is that you are right by the airport, so you will hear some plane noise, which is to be expected in this area. Also, they do not offer a shuttle to the international terminal, so plan to use Uber or drive. Overall, a comfortable stay in a very convenient location for international travel.
I stay with Hyatt very frequently and have stayed at many Hyatt properties around the world. Unfortunately, this is by far the worst Hyatt experience I’ve ever had. The lobby and front desk staff were pleasant, but once I arrived on my room floor, there was a strong and unpleasant odor in the hallway, and the smell continued inside the room as well. The bathroom situation was unacceptable. The conditioner dispenser was incorrectly filled with shower gel, the towels were visibly dirty, and amenities were placed carelessly. The bathtub did not drain properly, and it took a very long time for hot water to come out in the shower. Furthermore, the air conditioning unit was incredibly disruptive. It was as loud as a strategic bomber, making it nearly impossible to rest. Overall, the room felt poorly maintained, outdated, and neglected, which is completely below Hyatt standards. This experience was extremely disappointing and does not reflect the quality or consistency I expect from the Hyatt brand.
I parked my car at this hotel after it was recommended by Cheapest Airport Parking ATL. When I returned, my rear driver-side door glass was completely shattered with damaged ignition system leaving my vehicle not drivable. This happened inside a gated property that advertises 360° cameras, patrolling security vehicles, and controlled access. Despite these measures, the hotel denied all responsibility and refused to assist in any meaningful way. I was forced to replace the shattered glass on-site with the ignition on, just to make the car operable and leave safely. No incident report, no accountability, and no cooperation—only denial. If you value your vehicle and expect basic security when parking at a hotel that claims to provide it, think twice before leaving your car here. I would not recommend this property for airport parking or overnight stays. Worst experience ever!!!!!!
Rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was decent and open on time but very minimal choices. Bar was always closed. Staff is kinda lazy. I would not recommend ordering linch or dinner, they had a bunch of chicken wraps just setting on the countertop for a few hours. Be careful where you park… there was several vehicles behind the building with busted out windows.
I stayed here for a night and it was okay. The driver on the shuttle from the airport to the hotel was rude. Check in was easy. Breakfast was mid. They had eggs, sausage, toast, fruit, donut holes, french toast stick, etc. The eggs were cold. Housekeeping kept knocking on my door multiple times before 10 when checkout is @12. Quentin, the shuttle driver to airport was very nice. Decent stay but probably wouldn’t stay here again. I’ve had good experiences at Hyatt Place in different cities.
We were very impressed with our stay and the level of customer service and hospitality that was provided to us. The hotel selected my sister to be the guest of the day and upon arrival her name was on display at the front desk. We all got a kick out of that experience. We sure did take advantage of that title. The staff accommodate us from the point of our arrival up til our departure. They went above and beyond we were very impressed and happy that we want to go back again and we're in California just to be the guest of the day. They were willing and delivered with excellent quality whatsoever they could to make our stay a amazing experience. They are all very friendly and professional. Full of good energy and happy vibes. You have to go experience the guest of the day. Shout out to Shonette and Angela they are truly amazing and they make you feel like your a celebrity the moment you walk in the door. Thank you all so much for providing excellent guest services. We were very impressed and were glad to tell everyone about our experience in the ATL. Wow you'll show know how to wow your guest. The shuttle is a win having transportation included is a win win. It saves money and time and because it very convenient to get to and from the airport and makes things less stressful. You'll rocking the hospitality industry. Keep up the good work. Keep putting smile in people's hearts and on their faces. The guest of the day Idea was a brilliant idea. That idea should be implemented in all hotels because Everyone wants to feel like the have v.i.p status. That something we will never forget!
I seen a review stating they do not honor 3rd party bookings & I thought it was Maybe just a 1-off, but it’s true! After a day of flights- we arrived at hotel after booking a king bedroom through Expedia - at front desk they stated “ we give up rooms for people who do not book through 3rd parties, if you book through 3rd parties then we don’t have to honor any room” so my husband & I had to share small double bed & he just had a hip replacement - we were not even a downsized to Queen bed& best believe they do not refund the difference in price! So they did lose us personally ,It’s funny because our flight the next day was canceled so we needed to book another stay for an extra night & we ended up booking a different hotel for better accommodations. Rooms were very clean so 5 stars on that!
