The Renaissance Atlanta Airport Gateway Hotel consistently receives positive feedback for its convenient location near the airport, friendly and helpful staff, and clean rooms. While many guests appreciate the hotel’s proximity to the Sky Train and the comfortable beds, some have experienced issues with billing discrepancies, bathroom privacy, and room cleanliness.
Our flight was canceled and we stayed at this hotel for two days. The service was impeccable, the staff were so friendly. Food was good, building was clean, beds were comfortable. We were very impressed. Great staff! Everyone who worked there had smiles on their faces. True Southern hospitality.
Never disappoints! I’ve stayed at this property many times. The folks running the front desk area welcome you like family. Tiara, Mike, Jonathan, and the others go out of their way - work to impress! The restaurant is fantastic. No reason to drive 30 minutes for breakfast or dinner. Lorraine and Glossi will make sure your meal and experience are enjoyable. The rooms are always clean and everything works! I will see everyone on my next visit to Atlanta.
I would have had a great experience if the staff had been consistently trained. I stayed on an employee rate and was called down to the front desk in the middle of the night because they said my card had not been authorized — even though there was already a pending charge for the room, taxes, and incidentals. I was asked a total of three times to provide a card due to what appeared to be either an employee or system error. This created unnecessary inconvenience and confusion. Thank you to Asher for trying to understand and assist with the situation. However, the issue was mishandled during the night shift when the funds were reportedly “not retrieved,” despite being approved during check-in, which caused a financial discrepancy and frustration for the guest.
I stayed at the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel overnight due to a flight cancellation, and it was a very good experience. The hotel has very easy access to Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport theough sky train, which made travel logistics simple and stress-free. The hotel was very clean, and the staff were nice and welcoming. One thing I really appreciated was how quiet the room was. Despite being so close to the airport, there was no noticeable noise inside the room, which made it easy to rest. Overall, it’s a great and convenient option, especially for unexpected overnight stays near the airport. Have a safe travel!
This is the VERY best airport hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff are friendly and helpful. Lobby is beautiful and inviting. Resturant and bar has good food and will accommodate allergies. Room is quiet, clean and comfortable. I did not hear airplanes or my neighbors.
I had a tricky situation with a room key not being able to work yesterday evening. I wanted to commend the patience and help of Mike and Jonathan at the front. Through multiple tries and perseverance of seeking out the engineering team, Jonathan was able to get me into my room. I had thin patience, and they were both extremely collected, helpful, and solution oriented. I went to shout them out to their manager, Tiara(hoping spelling is correct), and she coupled the feedback. Her kind words and the way she spoke about them really spoke to her leadership ability. Truly a great team. Keep hiring folks like these please!
This hotel, and its corporate holdings company Marriott, charged me the entire cost of the room ($609), and did not even give me the points or recognition simply because I wasn’t able to show up to be physically present in the room (because of work- and weather-related reasons). Marriott also no longer recognizes and gives points for any bookings if the booking is through a third party (such as American Airlines/Rocket Travel). For this booking, I used the Bonvoy App, booked directly, and I was charged the full cost of the room, but I received zero points and zero recognition because I couldn’t actually show up to sleep inside the property. The hotel and Marriott, meanwhile, receive a windfall: (1) take the customer’s money, (2) don’t incur the cost to clean or replace towels or products. Dreadful customer service to boot: “Sir, we understand, but you agreed to the terms and conditions.” C’mon.
The room was very comfortable and you cannot beat the location from the ATL airport and easy tram ride. We were staying 1 night and then on to SXM and given the Venezuelan situation our flight was canceled. They kindly let us stay in the room until 2PM given our 8PM flight home (other flights were booked). Great front desk staff. We have stayed here a number of times and they never disappoint.
This is one of my favourite airports to visit. Hartsfield is a busy airport and I used to dread coming into here and getting my bags. After staying here once a couple of years back I would never stay anywhere else. The skytrain drops you off right in front of it, the hotel has great food and drinks. Staff are always a pleasure to deal with. The room is always clean and never feels like it’s worn out.
Rooms were pretty standard but clean and cozy. Super convenient that the hotel is connected directly to the airport via the Sky Train. The food down in their lobby restaurant offered delivery to our room, and it was surprisingly really amazing. Would definitely stay again if we have another layover in ATL.
