The Springhill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Six Flags generally receives positive feedback, particularly highlighting the friendly and welcoming front desk staff, including Lauren and Ines, who are praised for their exceptional service and attention to detail. While cleanliness is a consistent strength, some recent reviews have raised concerns about dated facilities and a few operational issues like a cloudy pool, inconsistent internet, and elevator problems. Overall, the hotel offers a comfortable stay near Six Flags, but improvements in facility upkeep are needed.
Just stayed 2 nights while visiting Six Flags. The room was really good, super clean, a large and comfortable shower with a fully enclosing door so water does not get everywhere, comfortable bed. All the front desk staff, especially the manager Lauren, were so friendly and welcoming which makes a huge difference, so thank you :) There was also a friendly acknowledgement of our ambassador status and a little goodie bag with some candy, snacks and water in recognition, which was much appreciated. Parking was plentiful. Wifi worked well. It is about a 10 minute drive to Six Flags. Took off one star because the pool water was very cloudy (could not see the bottom even in the 3 foot section, yuck). Given how spotlessly clean the rest of the property was, I suspect and hope this was not the norm.
Toshia was amazing when my family entered the premises. Her customer service skills were off the chart and I highly recommend this facility and the breakfast was good and the hotel itself was clean. Toshia made everything convenient. Shamar and Alana were great also and all of the house keepers were great. Thank you all for a wonderful stay and i will be visiting again
We were greeted by Toshia upon entry who made sure my stay was comfortable and the rooms were clean and also room service was on their A GAME. Shamar and Alana was also great and your staff that you have are doing a wonderful job running this establishment. Breakfast was always hot and replenished. Thank you all for the wonderful experience and hospitality. I would definitely recommend this place
When I booked this room, it said it was a renovated room. I could tell it had been renovated, but you could just feel that this building is old. There’s green carpet on the floor, which I don’t understand at this time and age why hotel still put carpet on the floor, let alone green carpet. Most hotels I stay at now have laminate flooring. There is ac controller on the wall, but it does not work. The bathroom was clean but to answer the shower you have to open the glass door that’s on the left. The problem with that is the control for the shower on the wall is on the right side so you have to reach in there and turn on the shower and get wet before you get the temperature that you want. I did not care for that. Overall, it was an OK experience, but the hotel still feels dated
Have stayed here several times before and it was a great experience. This last stay however I was disappointed in non working air conditioning and shabby/torn bedding. Bedding issue was something housekeeping should have noticed if they were actually changing bedding. I’ll still stay in future because my other stays were very pleasant. Quiet hotel and extremely pleasant and helpful staff.
Talk about going above and beyond, I felt compelled to write a review! The moment I walked in Tosha was pleasant and helpful. She truly went above and beyond, I called to get a room with a bathtub for specific reason and they accidentally put me in one with no tub. The moment I tried to explain Tosha stopped me and let me know she would take care of it. As my husband and I was walking out with our luggage( we had to wait for a room to be cleaned because I had called earlier this week to make sure that was an option) she stopped us and let us keep our luggage there until the room was ready. She then called when the room was ready so we could head back ,she had informed us that the luggage had already been placed in the room and all we needed to do was show I.D. Very helpful and thoughtful. ( above and beyond) I really appreciate Tosha because it was raining and cold and it showed she was paying attention and cared about our needs. Overall I don’t know Tosha but her warm spirit felt like home and her motherly sternness made me know she meant business! Please put more people like Tosha up front in places like these because she makes a huge difference! Thanks Tosha. I’ll definitely come back to see ya!
This was a very nice hotel. The room is stayed was a little narrow but it was just me lol.. the only negative I have is the room I was in was overcooked the outdoor lounge area and the music played all night. It never cut off.
The am agent really set the tone, she was amazing! Breakfast was nice and the rooms were very clean! We will be back again.
If I could rate this hotel a -100, I absolutely would. Dealing with this establishment has been a complete nightmare. First off, Laurie was blatantly rude. I stayed two nights, and the experience was disgusting. Night one: my husband found a baby roach in the room. I wanted to leave immediately, but he killed it and suggested we check for bed bugs. Thankfully, we didn’t find any. Then came the second morning. As we were getting dressed, I noticed something on top of his bag—which had been sitting near the air conditioner and window. A small reptile. A lizard. Inside the room. That was it for me. We packed our things and left at 6 a.m. I went to the front desk to report the situation and asked to speak with management. I was told she wouldn’t arrive until 8 a.m. Fine. Eight o’clock comes—no call. I follow up. Now it’s 10 a.m. Still nothing. I call again at 10:20. When Laurie finally answers the phone, she opens with a sarcastic, “Sorry I couldn’t contact you as early as you wanted me to.” That tone alone told me everything I needed to know. She wasn’t apologetic—she was dismissive and condescending. I explain everything to her, including my conversation with the front desk. Her response? “We’ve never had these problems before. We do our best to provide a home-like environment. Pest control regularly services the hotel. Unfortunately, we live in a world with wildlife.” Wildlife? In my hotel room? Then she tries to insinuate that I brought the lizard in myself—because it was found on top of our luggage. That’s when I got appalled. I told her I’ve never had this kind of experience at any hotel, ever. She starts acting like I’m attacking her, saying “You don’t need to go there,” as if I’m yelling or being combative. I wasn’t. I was calm, direct, and disgusted. She then argues that I should’ve reported the roach immediately so she could move us to another room—because maybe it was just that one room “being invaded.” Laurie, it’s not just about the roach. It’s the lizard. It’s the fact that I had to sleep in a room with both. And not just me—I had two minors in that room. Children. Exposed to that filth. I asked her if I was supposed to wait until 10 a.m. to be taken seriously. She kept implying I just wanted money. For the record, I never once asked for compensation. That assumption alone was offensive. I don’t go anywhere I can’t afford, and I don’t chase refunds. She said she’d inspect the room to “see what condition it’s in.” What does that even mean? It’s nearly 11 a.m.—you don’t think housekeeping already cleaned it? And to top it off, she still hasn’t called me back. I’m furious. Because not only did she dismiss my concerns, she disrespected me, ignored me, and made me feel completely unheard. And yes—let’s call it what it is—she tried to paint me as dirty, broke, and angry. And let’s be real: an angry Black woman. That’s the energy she gave. And I won’t let that slide. Laurie should not be in management at any establishment. Her attitude is nasty, her professionalism nonexistent, and her ability to handle customer concerns is appalling. If this is the standard of leadership at this hotel, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone—especially families.
Not a great hotel but fortunately I was only in the room for about 2 to 3 hrs a day. The lighting was awful in the room, very dark. TV channel selections were limited. Toilet didnt flush. Elevator was super slow for 3 storey building. Gym was very minimal 1 treadmill. Got back to the hotel late at night and did not feel safe, they need more lighting for the parking area and alot of blindspots. Would not recommend.
