The St. Regis Atlanta consistently receives high praise for its luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and prime location in Buckhead. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with check-in efficiency, inconsistent service quality, and occasional logistical errors, such as forgotten luggage. Despite the overall positive experience, recent reports reveal a decline in operational effectiveness.
Staffing is poor. It was a check in nightmare. Tall female was lost on how to handle problems. Didn’t know how to handle die hard person and mistake. Got frustrated slowed whole check in lines down to stop. 10 ppl deep. I waited for check for 10/15 min. Room wasn’t done at 430 ish. Waited she said we will find you bags are here. Then while sitting I saw our bags leave us with bellman to room! No one looked for us so we inquired. She had t even done keys yet. Then on checkout it fight between bag man and supervisor of valet. Then they forgot to load out bags!!! Left thinking in car and weren’t!! No one called us or reported it to mgmt. Had to drive back 10. Lies to get my bags. Horrible service. Room service good.
This hotel is absolutely magnificent! I mean everything about it was breathtaking. As soon as we walked in I mentioned how it look like a scene from the movie Titanic only to find out that the owner of the hotel was actually on the boat and was killed when the Titanic sunk. Best restaurant and hotel owes me absolutely nothing. From the ambiance of the hotel to the free glass of champagne that they offer certain days of the week and the customer service was exceptional. It is definitely worth going back.
This place is absolutely worth the money. From start to finish we felt truly welcomed. The customer service is next level. The location is also amazing because it’s close to so many places. Once we valeted our car, we never needed it again. The staff went above and beyond to make my husband feel special on his birthday. They also remembered who we were and followed up on conversations that we had had earlier during our stay. The rooms are immaculately clean. They offer services that are complementary and would be extra in so many other hotels. We highly recommend.
This review is specifically for the Afternoon Tea at the St Regis Astor Court. We came for the Galentine's Day event, at 3pm which was one of the last slots. The food was quite good. The balance between savory and sweet items was about an even split...which is way too much sweet. With the sweets being a little on the sweeter side, it would have been nice to have more savory options. On top of that, most of the items were actually quite large. I would have preferred a little more variety with some smaller bites. And I really wanted like an old school thin-bread watercress sandwich. The loose-leaf tea was also good. A white tea option would have been nice. A nice spread of options balanced between fun flavored teas and reasonably high quality teas where you could taste the tea itself. The service was cheerful, if a little amateurish. We had our teas come out after our scones. There were people carrying plastic bussing buckets around while we were eating. The 90 minute limit (which we did not hit) was...fine, although I would've been annoyed if we had a big party and wanted to linger. If this seems kind of nitpicky, it is! But at 95 per person + 26 in tax and service charges per person, you really should be getting completely polished service and a perfect food experience. You'll get an experience of comparable quality for a better price at the Russian Tea in downtown Chicago or McHugh tea in Houston.
I enjoyed my stay at the st. Regis. I stayed in the Grand deluxe room with a terrace (I think that’s what it’s called). The view was great! Looking directly over the Buckhead plaza. And right above the garden room. The terrace was beautiful as well. My room was on the 5th floor, so the entrance was stunning. The bathroom was very nice and clean. This location in buckhead is close to so many different restaurants and shopping. And they complimentary car service can take you anywhere within a 2 mile radius! The room’s private dining service was delicious, every meal I had was great! And the butler’s set the table for every meal! 10/10 service! The St. Regis bar service was great too, the bartenders make great cocktails!
Beautiful hotel - it has an old vibe charm to it, the rooms are stunning, great bathroom with extra large tub for relaxing at night after long day at work, the gym is also pretty good for a hotel, unfortunately the pool was closed for the season but it looks amazing - can’t imagine how good it is on the summer. The service was also great from the reception, the housekeepers and the doormen everyone seemed happy and willing to help and provide great service (specially shout out to Greg - great coffee conversation). Room service and breakfast were really great - expect prices go be on the higher end, but quality and service go be on pair. Can’t wait to be back!
The place exudes old world charm, the service was great, everyone was polite and helpful. It was very quiet, not a eerie silence, a peaceful stillness. The bed was very comfortable, more soft than I prefer yet still comfortable. Room service was expensive, but it's the St. Regis a girl had to use it. The room was controlled with a touch pad for the lights, and curtains. The tub was massive, I'm 5'10 and I was able to stretch out completely and it was deep, the water came over my shoulders. Parking was interesting, only because I self parked and didn't realize there were 3 different parking structures. It was a great rest, reset and moment to unwind. We stayed 1 night after a long flight and we will stay here again.
Recently spent two nights at the St Regis in Buckhead. Rooms are slightly dated but large and clean. Daily room attendants are excellent. The hotel itself is lovely and refined especially at Christmas. The hotel restaurants and main bar are the best in Atlanta in my opinion. Hotel staff are also top notch, every department. If I had to come up with a suggested improvement it would be to add a more casual restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Overall, to me the hotel is worth the price. First Class all the way. Love it.
Our family has stayed at many St. Regis properties over the decades, and we’ve consistently had elevated, thoughtful experiences that set the brand apart. That history is what makes this stay at the St. Regis Buckhead feel disappointing—though I’m hopeful these are issues that can be easily corrected. Upon arrival, we carried our own bags in from the valet into the hotel, which was unexpected for a St. Regis. We were given a nice courtesy room upgrade, which we appreciated, but the room was not ready at the 4:00 pm check-in time. We were told we would receive a call once it was available; however, after waiting nearly an hour, we checked back with the front desk around 4:35 pm and were told the room had already been ready. It appeared the notification was simply missed. While waiting, our family of five—including a one-year-old who has just started walking—spent time near the ballroom area. Unfortunately, the restrooms in that area were locked, which added unnecessary inconvenience. One genuinely bright spot was the Santa Claus the hotel hired. He was jolly, authentic, and wonderful with the children—our kids truly loved that part of the experience. Later, we went to the St. Regis Bar to watch a football game and order food and drinks. Several empty tables had not been cleared, and we stood for some time next to a dirty table trying to find assistance. Once it was finally cleaned, no one returned to take our order for over 15 minutes—no water, no drinks, no snack tray. My wife ultimately went to the bar to place our initial drink order, and to be fair, the bar staff there was excellent: prompt, courteous, and professional. Looking around, it was clear that other tables were also experiencing slow service, with empty glasses and dishes left unattended. Food execution was inconsistent. The medium-rare Wagyu sliders were medium-well, and served on a stale, hockey-puck-like bun, though the flavor itself was good. Room service was more disappointing overall. The only savory items that landed well were the macaroni and cheese and the French fries. My filet, ordered rare, arrived medium-well, and the mashed potatoes were completely unseasoned. These are all very fixable issues, and that’s what makes the experience frustrating. The St. Regis brand is known for polished service and attention to detail, and I hope this property can realign with those standards. There is clear potential here—I’d simply love to see the execution match the name.
I stayed at The St. Regis Atlanta for a short trip, and the experience was really comfortable. The room felt clean and quiet, and the bed was surprisingly relaxing after a long day. The staff I interacted with were polite without being over the top, which I appreciated. The lobby and common areas had a calm, upscale feel, and the location made it easy to get around without much effort. I didn’t use every amenity, but everything I did try worked smoothly. Overall, it was a pleasant stay—steady, comfortable, and easy. Nothing too flashy, just a nice place to unwind.
