Everything went well for my 1 night stay. My granddaughter loved the game room. Not sure who the gentleman was ion duty Saturday night as Security, etc around the game room area but he offered to give us quarters thinking we did not have cash. My 10 year old thought he was so nice to offer!

I enjoyed my stay, but there were some minor issues. It could be updated in some areas or at least given some extra attention. But, it was a lovely place to visit. The location was magnificent. The view from the lakeside room and balcony were beautiful. Room service was a challenge, but I was able to find and grab what we needed. But I will say, the shuttle driver was GREAT!!! I enjoyed my meals at both restaurants.

Typically, I am not someone who writes reviews, however, our stay at the Evergreen Resort was less than par. My family and I stayed at this hotel the beginning of June for two nights. My parents wanted to stay in Stone Mountain as it’s always had a special place in their hearts, and used to stay at The Inn at Stone Mountain. We have never stayed at this resort before and arrived around 3:30pm on a Friday. Upon arriving, there were so many cars piled up at the entrance, and when looking inside, there were several long lines at the check in. My father waited in line to check us in for nearly 45 minutes. By the time we got into our room, it was after 4:30. Check in was at 4:00. Our rooms should have been ready. However, there were no amenities or towels in the room. Luckily, we saw a woman in the hall and asked for towels. We quickly dropped our bags and did not take a good look around when we returned back later that evening. The room/beds were clean. Unfortunately, we noticed the toilet ran and sink bubbled, there was coffee, but no coffee cups, only one trash can in the bathroom, the mini fridge was semi-cold, and when we showered, we were standing in roughly 2 inches of water and was out of shower gel in the bottom. Good thing we packed our own soap and shampoo. It was clear to us that the room was not fully ready. The next morning, we asked for someone to send amenities to our room, however, no one showed up. My family, and other hotel guests had to take the stairs numerous times because one of the elevator buttons to our floor, did not work. We chose to not have breakfast there because it was an additional $30 per person (we recommend Huskers which is nearby). Throughout our time there, a family reunion of 200 (we confirmed with a family member) were around the hotel. To give the staff members the benefit of the doubt, maybe their time was spent helping other guests and their needs. However, when a hotel is labeled as “Resort”, you expect a higher standard, especially for the price you pay. This review is not to complain but to give our experience, as we are blessed to have stayed in the park and on a pretty property. But, it’s clear there needs to be work done here at the Evergreen.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The area was perfect. Great location. The balcony and shower weren’t the cleanest. I called twice to have the spider webs cleaned on the balcony but no one ever came. I purchased a balcony room to be able to sit on it and enjoy the lakeview. The hotel was in a transformation process so one of the restaurants were closed on Saturday including the pool table and the menus were limited. We came on a rainy weekend so that didn’t help. However, we’d definitely come again.

I really enjoyed my spa like stay. It was a staycation. My lake view room was very comfortable, clean and modern. Service was great. They are friendly and professional and make sure you have everything you need for a great stay. Stone Mountain is absolutely beautiful and it’s right at my back door. I will definitely stay again.

I have stayed at this resort numerous times for Conferences and Personal. I cannot say enough about the STAFF. The friendliest, most helpful people. One of the young men remembered me from last May when I was there for a conference (he helped me hang command strips) - and he was just as friendly and helpful this year as last. Recommend 10 out of 10

My room had mold on the inside of the sliding glass. The room was very basic and bland. It could use a little bit more decoration in the rooms to make it feel more homely. The price paid per night was not worth it. My balcony looked like it had not been cleaned in months, maybe years. It was not giving resort to me. It gave a low budget motel. I was very disappointed. I did enjoy the hot tub and lakeside view but the place needs more work inside and outside. Trash was on the walking trail. I stayed at a Laquinta in which I paid $66 a night and that gave more of a resort style hotel than this one. Very disappointed. Would not return unless it was renovated and actually gave resort. Staff was very friendly however.

I really enjoyed this place and its location within the park. I just want to offer some constructive feedback to help make it an even better experience. Overall, the property could benefit from remodeling and more consistent upkeep. The limited food options were disappointing—there were very few items on the menu, and the Tavern wasn’t even open for lunch. The surrounding areas could also be cleaner.

Short Version, multiple people around us were smoking pot non-stop and I could smell it in our room and in the hallways all weekend. Pros: hotel is located in Stone Mountain state park and that’s about it. Our room was clean, however based on other reviews this seems hit or miss) Neutral: food is very average for a resort, however service extremely slow. Front desk and other staff were average friendliness. (Ie. Didn’t act like I was a bother, but not exactly resort friendly) Cons: As we were checking out, another patron was showing the front desk staff a video of his room with roaches in it. The constant smell of pot. hotel is dated, except for lobby which was renovated. The wooden boardwalk that goes to the pavilion needs some TLC (That said furniture is relatively recent). Resort fee was 45 per night and not the 40 shown online. Have to pay an additional fee the first night for the privilege to enter the park, even though you have already paid for the hotel.

We’re local, newly married seniors and chose Atlanta Evergreen Lakeside Resort for a Valentine’s weekend getaway. It was exactly what we hoped for. Our King Room was clean and comfortable and perfect for relaxing. It would have been even better with a small sofa or an additional chair/table with a reading lamp. We loved the walking trail — the entrance near the pool deck was clearly marked and easy to find. However, we didn’t see signage indicating how to access the lakeside portion of the trail or information about the accessibility level, which would be helpful for guests planning their walk. The pre-arrival marketing texts were most welcome. Drea at the front desk patiently handled multiple calls prior to check-in and greeted me warmly upon arrival. Kishme quickly provided a complimentary toothbrush, arranged for bar soap from housekeeping, and approved a late checkout. Dining was a highlight. Ebony and the runners took great care of us at The Tavern on a busy evening. At The Waterside, Jasmina was attentive and detail-oriented at breakfast, and Suada made our Valentine’s dinner feel especially welcoming and well cared for. From start to finish, we felt valued and well served. Great local opportunity that feels special.
