Element Atlanta Buckhead receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location, amenities, and comfortable rooms, particularly the well-equipped kitchenettes and convenient pool. However, recurring concerns include inconsistent service, noise levels, and issues with parking and cleanliness. Recent reviews suggest improvements in some areas, but past experiences have been problematic for several guests.
Don’t stay there, the room looks nice but my stay was not what I expected. I usually don’t go in here to give bad reviews but this hotel warranted it. The room I stayed in was not maintained. However the pool area picture is very deceitful and gave me paint residue on my feet and hands. The breakfast was not good at all, powered eggs. Stayed at elements before but this was really bad. I had no ice in the room, I requested it and was given a cup. I am a Bonvoy member and value these hotels but this one did not meet my expectations.
My first time staying at Element and I was actually pleasantly surprised. Good service and very tidy/clean hotel and rooms. Also, I want to give kudos to Danny at the Secret Garden Bar in the hotel. Drinks and ambiance were great. He was incredibly attentive to his guests' experience. I felt completely comfortable and welcome here. You can tell he takes pride in maintaining a safe, professional atmosphere. Definitely, a spot I'll return to and recommend to others as well!
Today it’s snowing and I called to speak to Terrell (who told me he was a manager) that I could not cancel my reservation and if I did he will charge me. Wow!!! How?? If I’m snowed in how you not wanting to cancel my reservation. This so call manager has the worse customer service. For me to call Marriott customer service to get the proper help and service to cancel due to the weather he should have been able to assist me with that. I will not book here again as a bonvoy member. And Mr Terrell needs better customer service if that’s his real name he gave me.
The people here are so nice, as well as the outside atmosphere being very pleasant. I personally recommend going to this hotel. My favorite part of this hotel is falling asleep to the sounds of gunshots outside. Next time, I'm inviting my family members. Codine, Mayah, Jelluva, and Akostas.
In all my years of staying at the Marriott Hotel I have never experienced such blatant disrespect and intimidation from a front desk agent like I did here after a 10 1/2 hour drive from Chicago. I just wanted to get some rest before I continued my drive to Orlando, FL but the employee named Osiris Nyimi Malu was rude, condescending and intimidating. Such blatant disrespectful behavior to a loyal Bonvoy member. This type of service has me questioning whether if I should even book my family reunion (with over 100 ppl) which I am hosting for our next reunion which is held every biennial with Marriott. I am absolutely informing all family and friends of this service as they are Bonvoy members too.
I had called a few days before our travel and confirmed with the hotel that we would have ajoining rooms and was advised we could check-in early at 9 AM at no cost. When we arrived to the Atlanta Airport we drove especially to the hotel for checkin and we were greeted by a very rude woman and was told there's no such thing as ajoining rooms and there's a fee for early checkin. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they were not available and she was not able to call them. She did not smile, she could not look us in the eye, she was a very angry young woman. This was the start of our christmas vacation. Other than the rude start, the rooms were clean and comfortable. I did not like the hotel smells from the kitchen and the breakfast was very, very awful. Milk jugs had chunks of old milk dried to the jug, the assortment of food was poor, and they had a woman behind glass making hot food but to me it had a very strong smell and it was not very pleasant. I would not stay here again.
Wonderful experience. Stayed new years eve and new years day. Limited breakfast and no restaurant/bar on new years day. And that was well communicated during check-in. Pool was a comfortable temperature. And that's very important because too many hotels advertise a heated pool then cheap out and lie about it. This pool was nice. Rooms very clean. Loved having a sofa bed in the room so the kids could spread out. Easy to validate parking. If we come back through town we would stay here again.
Our stay at Element Atlanta Buckhead was nothing short of outstanding. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and genuinely enjoyable—exactly what you hope for in a great hotel experience. Brittany at the front desk set the tone immediately with her professionalism, warmth, and inviting demeanor. She made check-in seamless and made us feel truly valued as guests. Later, Danny at the bar continued that exceptional experience with the same level of friendliness and professionalism. His welcoming presence and easygoing charm perfectly matched the laid-back vibe of the hotel and made the evening especially enjoyable. What truly stood out was the friendly, authentic manner in which we were treated throughout our stay. The environment felt comfortable and unpretentious, yet polished—an ideal balance that made it easy to relax and feel at home. Element Atlanta Buckhead clearly excels at hospitality, thanks in large part to team members like Brittany and Danny. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming, comfortable, and well-run hotel experience.
We did not have a great experience. The rooms were nice and that's about all I can say. Parking is an extra $25 a night, which we weren't told until arrival. Parking lot is a short hike through the rain to get to the hotel. Our neighbors NEVER SLEPT. It was a constant party all night long. At 330 am I went downstairs to get coffee and see about getting someone to help us with the noise. The 2 male employees were SLEEPING in the lobby! I did ask about a manager and I was told nobody is there until 9am. Oh and no 24hr coffee here. Can't get coffee until 6am??? Never again Element.
For the most part, this is a great hotel. However, at 5AM, a trash truck came barrelling through, spending almost 10 full minutes slamming dumpsters around directly outside my window. I understand that there's only so much the hotel can do to avoid this, but you'd think that they'd look into some sort of solution for this. The noise was loud enough that I won't be staying here again. Also, the way the parking garage is setup, if you don't stop by the front desk every single time you leave, you will be forced to pay the machine to exit. The daily rate for the garage is $12, but the hotel charges $25. Not completely sure why hotel guests are required to pay more than double the daily rate.
