The Hampton Inn & Suites Atlanta Airport West/Camp Creek Pkwy receives mixed reviews, with some praising its location, friendly staff, and comfortable rooms, particularly the breakfast and bed. However, recurring concerns include issues with cleanliness, bed bugs, noise from aircraft, and inconsistent service, alongside specific incidents of rude staff and operational problems like elevator malfunctions and power outages. Recent negative reviews highlight significant safety and comfort concerns.
Nice rooms, nice big parking lot. Staff when I checked in or came down to ask for more towels didn’t bother to hide that me being there was an annoyance. For those with littles, the high chairs are disgusting.
After staying for more than one night, I had the worst back, neck and hip pain from those uncomfortable box spring mattresses. The pillows were like plastic and deflated within seconds of lying on them. The room smelled musty and sour so I kept spraying Lysol and perfume to make it more enjoyable. The phone didn’t work in the room so we had to walk down to ask for towels and toiletries. BUT!!!! When I opened the refrigerator to grab a bottle of water…..A LIVE ROACH was inside! Luckily I had no food inside, but I had previously placed my leftover takeout inside sealed in a bag. I was so uncomfortable that I could barely sleep worrying about roaches crawling on me or getting inside my bags. Never again. This hotel is definitely less than a 3 star, with people living long term and hanging in hallways at night on weekends it’s not like any Hampton’s I’ve ever stayed.
Front desk staff was RUDE and acted like she didn't want to assist with check in. Will definitely use the app to avoid the front desk as much as possible from now on. Heavy set lighter skinned black lady with the afro parted down the middle. She was at the desk during check in and again around 730 the following morning when we came down for breakfast.
Great location and very friendly desk staff and breakfast staff. I had a king suite and the room was spacious, very clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. Breakfast was opened a few moments early and delicious. Omelets, potatos, sausage and lots of cereal and oatmeal. I will note that you can hear the planes take off, but it wasnt so loud it kept me up. I will stay here again when I come back to buy another vehicle.
Ok where do I start. We had a young volleyball team at this hotel. The power went out, I got stuck in the elevator and there was No emergency lights on any floor or in the elevator. It was pitch dark. Management no where to be found. Girls were scared. One of our teammates got bed bugs. The fire department needed to speak to manager to let them know that when power comes on that elevator should have never been in service. They were already down one elevator so now they have nothing but stairs. No backup generator is crazy. There were so many safety issues the hotel needs to address they shouldn’t have people staying here’s
Second or third time I have stayed at this location. The room was good, bed was comfy. Breakfast was OK, the coffee was very good for hotel coffee. Grace checked me in every time, professional, friendly, very helpful. Have me some dinner suggestions also. I would recommend this property to everyone.
Beds are noisy just sitting on them, planes fly directly over this hotel so noisy. Lady at service desk, seemed irritated I asked for another room because of the bed sqeaking. When she handed me the key for second room, I asked what room it was, and instead of telling me she said it was on the key envelope. Gave me the feeling she didnt like helping Caucasians. In the morning leaving, the elevator smelled like someone had just smoked pot on it. It reeked. Won't be staying there again. There plenty of other brands in the area. This hotel must have lots of complaints. The ability to leave comments on Google maps is turned off.
I am traveling amidst the worst recorded day from staffing shortages due to the government shutdown and I like thousands of others missed my connection in Atlanta. I ended up booking at this hotel as it was the only hotel I could find that had vacancy and so did many others. When I arrived at 12:30am there was a literal line out the door of weary travelers trying to checkin. The person at the front desk, Key was incredible. She was efficient, kind, calm and managed the situation incredibly well. This young lady is going places because she is clearly intelligent, emotionally calm under stress and gets the job done. Not many would have been so composed and focused to serve so many grumpy / tired people at this late hour as well as she did. Overall, the hotel is close to the airport and clean. Nothing fancy but just want was needed! Well done Key!!
Staff member Cree is rude, hung up on me 4 times in a row. I requested a walk in shower and for the past 2 weeks keep getting a tub/shower combo and the staff is extremely unapologetic. I was advised that I need to call 1-800Hilton ( that’s not even a valid phone number) to ensure I get the room that I reserved. Front desk staff is never at the front desk; called for about 5 minutes last night and phone just rang. Of course when I went downstairs to speak with staff face to face, no one was at the desk as usual. This will be my last stay at Hampton Inn West Campcreek.
The staff is awesome! The beds are junk. They do have a lot of stuff around. The room smells like weed.
