Hotel Clermont offers a stunning boutique experience with a historic charm and a prime location near Ponce City Market, featuring eccentric decor and excellent on-site dining at Tiny Lou's. However, recent renovations may affect the rooftop bar's status and valet rates can be steep compared to street parking availability.
I had dinner reservations at Tiny Lou's. We have driven past this hotel many times but I'd never been in it. From the outside it may not look like much but inside its FABULOUS! This building is a 100 years old, a historical site. So time makes it appear worn but it's well preserved. I was shocked once I entered the lobby after valet parked our car.($5 valet is great, worth it) It's got such a vibrant yet classy feel. The artwork was visually appealing. I don't know who chose it but they have a fantastic eye. This hotel is located in a prime spot, near Ponce City Market. I've been dying to go to the rooftop but it was temporarily closed down due to renovations. I'll see you summertime. Looking forward in returning. Perhaps we will stay here some time. Thanks!
This hotel was great. The staff were so kind and accommodating. It has such a unique vibe compared to other cookie cutter hotels that was warm and welcoming. The room was boutique-ish, that it didn't really feel like we were in the middle of a big metropolitan city, although our view of downtown was awesome. Would definitely stay there again.
A great experience from start to finish; but the icing on the cake was experiences we had towards the end of our stay. Sunday morning valet service with Kodi and Brandon was quick, friendly, and seamless. They even offered us water, which was thoughtful, and handled everything with ease. At the front desk, Taral was attentive and incredibly helpful. She took the time to walk us through options for future stays, explaining the nuances of different room types and highlighting the various spaces available. Breakfast at Tiny Lou’s was the perfect close to our stay thanks to Antoine. He gave excellent recommendations, including the chicken and pimento cheese biscuit for me and the steak for my husband. His contagious smile, and welcoming demeanor made it clear he enjoys serving. This team made us feel welcome; can’t wait to return!
What a wildly charming stay at the iconic Hotel Clermont on Ponce de Leon! This historic gem, built back in 1924 as upscale apartments before becoming the legendary Clermont Motor Hotel (complete with its storied basement Lounge since the ‘60s), got a fabulous glow-up in 2018 and feels like Atlanta’s coolest retro dream come true. The decor is pure eclectic magic - stately yet playful, with that perfect mix of vintage swagger and modern flair. My wife and I fell hard for our spacious suite; it was so inviting and comfy that I half-jokingly threatened to barricade the door and claim squatter’s rights (don’t worry, we checked out… after they extended us a 12:30pm checkout time at no extra cost!). The staff? Incredibly friendly and personable - everyone from the front desk to the valets made us feel like old friends. Tiny Lou’s, the French-American brasserie downstairs (named after a legendary dancer from the hotel’s wilder days), is hands-down exceptional - way beyond typical hotel fare, with dishes that had us raving. And the lobby bar? Fantastic! The lead bartender crafted me an unforgettable Old Fashioned infused with premium smoked bacon fat-rich, smoky perfection in a glass. Valet parking is on the pricier side, but the service is top-notch and worth it in this bustling spot. One fun note: the basement’s famous Clermont Lounge adds serious character to the vibe (it’s been rocking since 1965!), but it can get lively and loud on Friday/Saturday nights. No big deal - the rooms thoughtfully come stocked with white noise machines and earplugs. Overall, Hotel Clermont nails that rare blend of history, quirk, and genuine hospitality. We can’t wait to return!
Our stay at Hotel Clermont was truly AMAZING! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel so welcomed and celebrated. We were in town from Alabama for our wedding weekend, and to our surprise, they complimentarily upgraded us to the Flossie Suite — which completely made our trip! The suite was perfect: a cozy kitchen, a spacious living room, a comfortable bedroom, and two beautiful bathrooms. I felt so at home during our stay. I had my hair and makeup artist come to the hotel, and we had more than enough space. My jaw literally dropped when I saw the stunning bathroom with the clawfoot tub — absolutely gorgeous. Not only was it relaxing, but it also made for the most beautiful photos. We also had dinner at Tiny Lou’s, and it was delicious. From the front desk team to the restaurant staff who celebrated our wedding, all the way to the valet — every single person we interacted with was a delight. The hotel was spotless, the bed was comfortable, and even though our fur babies weren’t with us, we noticed the sweetest Hotel Clermont dog treats available at the front desk. Such a thoughtful touch! My best friend, her husband and little one, as well as my mom and grandmother, also stayed at the hotel, and they had nothing but wonderful things to say about their experience. We will 100% be back to Hotel Clermont. It was truly a highlight of our wedding weekend!
We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Clermont! From the moment we arrived until checkout, everything was fantastic from valet to dining at Tiny Lou’s. The staff made the whole experience feel warm and personal, remembering us and going above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The hotel has such a charming, boutique feel with adorable décor and thoughtful touches throughout. The rooftop bar had a great view and definitely don’t miss the burger and fries at tiny Lou’s! The location of this hotel is perfect and it’s just a short walk to Ponce City Market for more great food and shopping. We felt safer here than in most parts of downtown Atlanta. A must-do: the vintage photobooth tucked away in the back room! We learned from the attendant that it’s one of only about 200 left in the world (and just three in Atlanta!). She was so sweet and even scanned us in for a free photo strip with our son it was such a fun, nostalgic touch from the 60s/70s. We were in town for my best friend’s wedding, and this hotel made the weekend even more special. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and we can’t wait to come back!
I had the best time at Hotel Clermont! My friend and I stayed here to go to a concert nearby. I found street parking nearby and it was a short walk over. We were quickly checked in and offered a complimentary welcome beverage. We opted for champagne and it was high quality and such a nice treat. The room was beautifully decorated and spacious. We went down to the hotel bar for a glass of wine which was recently renovated and so beautiful. The bar staff was so friendly and great service. When we got back from the concert we had a drink on the rooftop which felt warm and cozy even though it was very cold out. The service was also fantastic and the prices were very reasonable! The beds were very cozy with great linen and the air didn’t feel stuffy. I had a latte from the machine in the lobby in the morning and it was really delicious. This was my favorite hotel stay and I’ll always come back when I need a night in town!
Amazing hotel experience! From the time I arrived to the time I departed was a positive experience. I used valet and it was a great experience. The rooms were clean with a luxe feel and the bed was super soft and the room had a digital thermostat for optimal temperature control. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I had brunch at the restaurant in the hotel and it was good. There is a mini-shop near the front desk that sells non-alcoholic beverages, which I utilized to get convenient refreshments. The only thing I didn’t like was that you can hear people loud in the hallway inside the hotel and you can hear them outside, but was quiet for the most part not much of a disturbance.
This was our first time at the Clermont. We enjoyed our hotel experience. The staff was responsive and nice. Parking was a little bit awkward. Either pay for valet or luck out on finding side street parking. We had AC controls in the room and loved the tall ceilings. The roof top area had good view of the city. Very close walking distance to Ponce Market which connects to the beltway. Also, loved that they had a white noise machine and option for ear plugs. We used the white noise machine. We stayed on the second floor and used the stairs. Great location around the area.
Went to a concert nearby and decided to stay at the Hotel Clermont. Parking is less than ideal, but I happen to get a spot very close by. Service was excellent and the room was perfect, albeit not enough body wash in the shower dispenser. The look of the hotel is vintage and the rooftop bar is a great location and has excellent service. Tiny Lou's is wonderful but expensive, but the meal was perfection. I will be back.
