The Candler Hotel Atlanta offers a luxurious experience in a historic setting, boasting comfortable rooms, a convenient downtown location, and an excellent onsite restaurant. Guests consistently praise the hotel's service and ambiance, particularly highlighting the exceptional valet and concierge teams.
Excellent location near downtown attractions and the GWCC. We were warmly greeted by valet upon arrival, who helped with our luggage and parked the vehicle. Check-in was smooth, and the room was clean, well-stocked, and comfortable. They offer complimentary daily bottled water and room refresh service, which was a nice touch. The onsite restaurant is convenient for a quick bite or a freshly brewed espresso. We’ll definitely be back! Just note that daily valet parking is required, as there is no self-parking option available
My stay at The Candler Hotel was good overall- nothing spectacular, but not bad either. The room itself was comfortable, especially the bed, and the bathroom was spacious and well laid out, which I appreciated. One downside was how dark the room felt; even with all the lights on, it never really felt bright enough. At check-in, I wasn’t recognized for my Hilton status and had to ask about what amenities were included, which was a bit disappointing. The hotel is located downtown, so there was some noise, though that’s understandable given the location. We had breakfast at By George and used the Diamond credit, which was a nice perk. The food and service there were excellent and definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall, it’s a solid option if you want to be in the heart of downtown Atlanta, with comfortable accommodations and a strong on-site dining experience.
I cannot say enough about this hotel! From the staff at the door welcoming guests! Jerome was exceptional! Then the delicious hot chocolate in the reception! The hotel was so beautiful, I couldn’t stop taking pictures. The room was cleaned daily, I have never felt such amazing care! Don’t miss this hotel.
My family and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel from start to finish. The property itself is beautiful, clean, and incredibly comfortable, but what truly stood out was the exceptional valet service. Huge shout out to the concierge team: Mr. Jermaine M., Mr. Darboe, Mr. JD, Mr. Kevin C., and Mr. Avery C. From the moment we arrived, the valet team greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism. They were prompt, efficient, and handled our vehicle with great care. Every time I needed my car, it was ready quickly—no long waits, no confusion, just seamless service. Their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as a guest. Inside, the hotel exceeded expectations as well. The rooms were spotless, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The staff throughout the property were courteous and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. Another shout out to Mr. James, who took care of us at the downstairs restaurant snd bar each night of our stay. It’s rare to find a place where every detail is handled so smoothly, especially something as important as arrival and departure. The valet team truly elevated the entire experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-tier service.
My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The downtown location, exceptional food, and overall ambiance truly embody luxury. What set this hotel apart, however, was the outstanding service. From the moment we arrived, Jermaine welcomed us warmly and made us feel right at home. Shortly after, we were greeted by Dwight at the front desk, who exemplifies true professionalism in hospitality. While every team member we encountered was exceptional, these two gentlemen genuinely stood out and made our stay unforgettable.
I recently stayed at The Candler Hotel on Peachtree and, as always, had a wonderful experience. The hotel consistently delivers a beautiful blend of historic charm, comfort, and excellent service. A special shoutout to Jermaine, the bellman, who was incredibly helpful, professional, and welcoming. His positive attitude and attention to detail truly stood out and made the stay even more enjoyable. I always enjoy staying here and look forward to returning. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Atlanta.
We stayed here for a football game not having been to Atlanta in a long time. I usually don't stay at Hilton's for loyalty purposes but the reviews were good an options limited on a football weekend. We couldn't have been happier with our choice. Historic hotel close to everything. The rooms are fantastic. Staff is outstanding, starting with doorman, front desk and housekeeping. We also received a daily F&B credit because of our Hilton status so we decided to try the restaurants By George. When the front desk tells you this is one of the best restaurants downtown they're not kidding! Great food and fantastic barmen. If you need to stay in downtown Atlanta the Candler is THE choice!
My family stayed here last summer and had a wonderful experience. We loved the architecture and the "Gilded Age" elegance of the lobby, yet the rooms were modern and spotless. The hotel's downtown location is very convenient, and valet parking is a must and super easy. We could walk to Centennial Park within a few minutes. My husband and I enjoyed a few cocktails at the hotel bar, which had an excellent selection and fantastic bartender. We would definitely stay here again!
I was excited to stay here because I found an Amex deal and the reviews were really good. Maybe I had high expectations but it was not a four star stay, more like a 2.5 or 3. Good: The bartenders were great and the food was good. I talked to Tina the bar several times and it was such a pleasure. The staff at the bellhop stands and valet were extremely nice and welcoming. They made sure you felt welcomed and gave really good recommendations for Atlanta. The beds were also really comfortable. Bad: They do not do housekeeping unless you ask. I stayed three and everyday when I got back to my room it was not cleaned. I was told they work until 5 so on day 2 I called after 5 and that’s when they sound send someone to clean the room. The espresso machine was broken, ironing board stand broken, some of the front desk staff had horrible attitudes ( not all but some), I did not get an AMEX welcome letter which usually explains the credits so I was confused when I received my bill at checkout. I was told I’d receive a complementary upgrade which I did not, the makeup washcloth was dirty in the room with someone else’s makeup and hair on it, you cannot reach anyone at the front desk, they DO NOT answer unless you call from an outside line. They do not respond to the text communications either. Location: I do not recommend for solo travelers. It is located where there are a lot of homeless camps are and homeless people are everywhere. I did not feel safe once leaving the area in the immediate surroundings. I walked to the cvs that is less than two blocks away and I was approached by at least five of six homeless people asking for money or food. This is more of an Atlanta issue but it was very uncomfortable. There wasn’t a lot of foot traffic in the area either so they knew I was a tourist. Overall, I made the best of my stay but likely would not stay again.
Im from Southern California This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. Period. I was hesitant after reading some of the recent reviews, but we had zero issues. The front desk was friendly, they offered to take our bags, valet was quick also. The room was spectacular. The view was phenomenal and we all melted like softened butter on a hot roll in the beds. The room was very clean, had no smells or stains. No bed bugs or any bugs for that matter. I had no dirty socks after walking around, and the towels were fresh as can be and nice and soft unlike most places having stiff and starchy towels. The table was a but wobbly but nothing that affects our use of it. Complementary water bottles and coffee in the room which is a nice touch.I cannot be more satisfied, happy, and thankful this hotel exists. This hotel and the food place we went to really did make my visit to Atlanta that I need to come back to. Charges: we got charged a little over $200 for the room and a $55 fee for overnight valet. The refundable hold for deposit was supposed to go back to my card but was used for the valet instead so no extra charges.
