This location offers strong value and convenience for downtown travelers, praised for its cleanliness and close proximity to major attractions. However, most guests report severely outdated elevator infrastructure and inconsistent front desk management that frequently leads to deposit disputes and identity refusal issues.
I recently stayed at Motel 6 in downtown Atlanta and had a really great experience thanks to Eden at the front desk. From the moment I walked in, Eden was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. Traveling can be stressful, but Eden made the check-in process quick and smooth, and was very patient while answering my questions. What stood out the most was the genuine customer service. Eden treated me with respect and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. It’s not every day you come across someone who clearly cares about helping guests and making them feel welcome. Because of Eden’s kindness and professionalism, my stay was much more pleasant than expected. Motel 6 is lucky to have someone like Eden representing them. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Eden ??
I stayed at Motel 6 Atlanta, GA - Downtown for a quick trip to downtown Atlanta. The location was really convenient—close to restaurants, a few shops, and some of the main attractions, so I didn’t need to drive much. The room was basic but clean, with the essentials I needed for a short stay. Check-in was smooth, and the staff I met were friendly and helpful. It’s definitely not a fancy place, but it worked well for what I needed: a simple, no-frills spot to rest while exploring the city. For the price and location, I thought it was a practical choice.
It was a 1 star because the staff was rude, that wouldn't help, only kiosk where you have check in and scan your card 3 to 4 times so they can get as much money out of you. Also if you have a dog no place to walk them patio place they locked . The place feels like a prison , when we got into the room and looked for the fire plan there wasnt one , and the fire door on first floor was locked , and very loud all night. If you stay best of luck! WORST motel 6 I have ever stayed at in my life
I had a really good experience at Motel 6 in Atlanta. They offer a virtual check-in system, which made the process very easy and convenient. Monica, who was the offshore virtual receptionist, was especially kind and helpful. She patiently listened to the issues I had experienced at a previous hotel and made sure everything went smoothly this time. I truly appreciated how attentive and professional she was. She has beautiful smile when she was dealing with customers. The cleaning staff and the lady in the lobby were also extremely kind and welcoming. The property was clean, organized, and everything felt comfortable. I was also happy to see Indian staff in Atlanta. Everyone I interacted with did their job well and treated me with respect. Overall, a smooth and positive stay . I would definitely come back
The cleaning staff do not know how to use a mop and bucket, which means after every 'clean' the floors remain filthy. You can't just put cleaning fluid down and move it around a bit; water needs to be applied and then disposed of! Here is what clean towels looked like when pressed against the floor immediately after two 'cleans'. I have asked the front desk twice for better service and clearly the message hasn't been passed on.
I'm not leaving a single star because the rooms or service were below expectations, but because the business practices of this place are anti-human. My dad was traveling through Atlanta when his car broke down, and he had to find a place to wait until the nearest shop opened. This business told him they were "full" and to go somewhere else... But strangely enough, I was able to get a room easily using Expedia. I went to visit him and outside the lobby there was a woman crying with a suitcase, telling me they were full. If you need a place late at night, or are down on your luck, this business will turn you away. If you have a choice, stay somewhere else. If you don't, get a reservation online and avoid interacting with management
The only good thing I can really say about this place us that it's easy to walk to the tourist locations like the aquarium. Other than that, it's dirty, damaged. The beds are no good and neither is the service.
RUN!!! the opposite direction. Booked here to be close to a venue. Booked online but it was terrible from check in to check out same evening. Went to a Hilton instead. Requeste d handicap accessible room but they didn’t have the accommodations. Parking was terrible. Did not stay one night. RUN as fast as you can!
It's located in downtown, good room service. There are neat and clean rooms. I had a 5 nights stay overthere with family, I didn't get any trouble related service. Staff members are good. They don't provide breakfast. Only Coffee
The room was clean and the housekeeping staff were kind and courteous. That is about the only good things here. The AC was loud, every single part of the property besides the room had an insanely acrid, chemical smell. The first time I walked in I nearly vomited. The elevator worked intermittently. The building itself was mean and nasty. No coffee in the room. No breakfast. No laundromat for a mile. The last night I was there a proper fight broke out with doors banging, screaming, crying. No cops were called. I am honestly glad to be alive and having survived it.
