The Hilton Atlanta consistently receives positive feedback for its staff, particularly mentioning helpfulness and personalized service. Guests frequently praise the location's convenience and the Trader Vic’s restaurant. However, significant concerns exist regarding parking costs, elevator availability, and room cleanliness, with some experiences marred by unexpected fees and maintenance issues.
We absolutely love dining at Trader Vic’s at the Hilton Atlanta. The food and service is consistently exceptional. You can smell the delicious food from outside the building. Amazing attention to detail with their decor. The entire staff is excellent; with special mention to Samantha. She is excellent at her job and her personality keeps us coming back. The bar staff is also great! The atmosphere here is one of a kind. Highly recommend!
We came Trader Vic’s with a group of 40 individuals for a company gathering. Mrs. Samantha Sue and Chef Julio ensured that we were well taken care of! Service was absolutely amazing. Staff were courteous and prompt. The food was so delicious. Chef Julio really out did himself. Food was not only beautifully prepared but soulfully flavorful. Atmosphere really sets the mood for a great time out. 10 out of 10 would recommend this location.
We dined at Trader Vic's in the hotel. The hostess, Jada was so friendly and fun to talk to. Our waiter, Sam, provided excellent service and recommendations. The food was solid. I highly recommend the lechon and pork belly appetizers as well as the filet mignon. The drinks were even better.
Parking is pretty horrendous here. If your vehicle is over 6 foot, they cannot accommodate you except with 60 dollar a day valet. If you need to valet your 'oversized' vehicle, its limited and runs out of space. If YOU are over 6 foot, walking in their parking garage is genuinely hazardous. The hotel nickle and dimes you, so parking isn't included in the very high room price. They will claim this is a feature to reduce room costs, rather than them harvesting their customers for more money. The concessions are expensive. The rooms were suitably clean, but a bit worn. The grout in the room's bathroom shower was chipping and stabbed my feet several times. Broken tile was pressed back in place and skim grouted, leaving sharp edges in the ceramic even if the grout was staying in place. The location is exceptional and Atlanta has done a good job with bike and scooter paths. Those are pretty much the hotel's only strong points for most travelers. Elsewise, the room is nothing to write home about and the parking situation is genuinely the worst I have ever seen outside of New York. The only saving grace here is you can take MARTA to Peachtree center and walk half a mile, most of it indoors via sky bridges, to the hotel through the Marriot. I'll try the Marriot next time.
I went to this hotel for a Career Event hosted by APPA. I had to drive our company vehicle which is Ford Transit Cargo Van that sits right around 10ft tall. The vehicle I was driving could not fit in the Parking garage because it only had a 6ft clearance. I asked Jamel in Valet where I can park since the parking garage could not host my vehicle. He told me to park on the other side of breeze way behind 2 other government vehicles (as you can see on your security cameras). No other option was presented or given to park the cargo van. As I am ready to leave and I go to valet to ask about my van the lady (don’t remember her name) told me that it would be $45 for time I stayed for the event. I asked her if I can speak to her manger to see if the rate could be discounted or prorated considering my vehicle could not fit in the parking garage. She got her Manager Thomas and he did not provide any real assistance or possible ideas to help the situation. I told him that I don’t mind paying for parking, but requested if I could get $10 off since there were no places for me to park or options given. His lack of customer service and communication was well below par and needs to be elevated as he is in a “leadership role” at the Hilton hotel. All this could have been avoided with a better attitude, $10 off credit, and educating me (the paying customer) other options to park the over size vehicle I was driving. Disappointed and would not recommend.
We had such a wonderful stay at Hilton. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and incredibly accommodating. The property was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located — which made everything seamless for our busy weekend. What really stood out was the level of hospitality. The team went above and beyond to make sure our family felt taken care of, and those thoughtful touches truly made a difference. The rooms were spacious, the common areas were beautiful, and everything felt easy and stress-free. It’s a short walk to the aquarium the convention center and Coke world. Plus, our views were great and Trader Vic’s for dinner was on point! We’re so grateful for the experience and would absolutely stay again. Thank you for such a memorable visit!
I had such an AMAZING experience staying here. I came across this beautiful soul Ms. chef Theresa. She is so amazing. Great smile and friendly greeting. She made me feel appreciated and most of all the food was amazing. The beds were also cozy. I will DEFINITELY be visiting again in the summer. Thank you Hilton for the wonderful staff you have and for the incredible stay.
Had a great stay at Hilton Atlanta. The room was nice, spacious, and clean. Plenty of USB outlets and the wireless phone charger is a no I've touch. I had a room with 2 double beds. I'm not sure why any hotel has rooms nowadays with 2 double beds. At least make them both queen size beds. This room even has plenty of space. It's time to upgrade Hilton. However they were comfortable. Bath towels could be replaced...they were a bit rough. A few of the elevators had lights out on the outside and inside which took a minute to figure out. Overall I'd stay here again in without hesitation.
Beautiful Hotel, But Deceptive Advertising Ruined Our Family Getaway We were drawn to this hotel by the promise of amenities—specifically the swimming pool and jacuzzi—which were the main reason my family of five (three children and two adults) drove over an hour to book a stay. The hotel itself is impressive and well-designed, but sadly, what we found did not match the advertising at all. The moment we checked in, we discovered there was no pool or jacuzzi. With three small children excited for a break from the stress of everyday life, our plans fell apart immediately. We had no choice but to check out within five minutes. Watching my children’s faces fall with disappointment was heartbreaking, and our family left feeling frustrated and powerless. To make matters worse, no refund was offered, even though the room was never used and the door remained unopened. We were still charged a deposit and $40 for parking. Checkout was chaotic—my key card did not work at the parking gate, leaving me stranded for 20 minutes with a crying baby and two irritable toddlers. After much back-and-forth, they reluctantly charged only $20 for parking. By then, we were exhausted and emotionally drained, but had little choice but to pay. $190 for a stay we never got to enjoy feels unjust. Some may ask why we didn’t just stay, but with three young children and freezing weather, it would have been miserable. Guests pay for what is promised, not what a hotel hopes they’ll tolerate. This hotel is beautiful, but the deceptive advertising, lack of transparency, and poor customer care turned what should have been a joyful family getaway into a deeply disappointing experience.
I rarely leave reviews, but I wanted to share my experience and give special thanks to Mike Redlin from the security team. I initially had an issue with my room—I saw a cockroach (possibly because I had turned up the AC and the room became very warm). I reported this to the front desk, who directed me to the security team. After briefly documenting the issue, they promptly switched me to another room. The new room was much better, and I had no issues for the rest of my stay. A few days after I checked out, Mike from the security team reached out to follow up on my experience. I told him everything was great after the room change. However, several days later, I noticed that my hotel bill had overcharged me by about $300 per night after the room switch (likely because I was moved to a larger room with a higher rate). I contacted Mike again, and he helped communicate with the front desk, who told me the charge would be refunded in a few business days. After a month passed with no refund, I reached out to Mike once more. This time, he made sure the refund process was fully completed and personally followed up with me until the refund went through. It was a long process, but thanks to Mike’s persistence and help, everything was resolved. Really appreciate his professionalism and support!
