The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown offers a convenient location near major attractions like the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Park, providing a comfortable stay with modern amenities. While praised for its friendly staff, cleanliness, and overall value, concerns have been raised regarding inconsistent service, room issues such as refrigerator malfunction and bathroom humidity, and occasionally inflated parking fees.
This is easily one of the best Hilton properties I’ve ever been to and without a doubt the best Hilton Garden Inn you’ll ever visit! Came down for a family staycation to visit the aquarium and eat non suburban chain food for a couple days and thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay! The checkin process and staff was amazing, with clear recognition of my Hilton status and a friendliness you don’t always come across these days. This was one of the friendliest, best trained staffs I’ve met! The rooms were super clean, modern, with great views, and the facilities were too notch with an indoor AND outdoor pool with a nice sized hot tub. The kids had a blast swimming in the pools! The gym was also solid with enough equipment and weights to get a good workout in. The location is also great and the food recommendations from the front desk were spot on for what we were craving. For someone who’s traveled over a thousand nights across all the major hotel brands around the world, I was super impressed with this place and will def recommend it to folks that are visiting atlanta or want a fun staycation. Highly recommend!
The room was very clean, and the rooftop pool was especially nice at night. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I also appreciated the drinks and snacks available in the lobby. Parking in the garage was easy and convenient, with quick access in and out. I’ll definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Atlanta.
Valet was friendly and prompt. Front desk was courteous. As we are visitng the aquarium the location is fantastic. The rooms was mid. For an oversized king room, it was pretty standard hotel room sized, and the bathroom was tiny. The "living area" advertised is just the pull out couch which sits directly beside the king bed. I had assumed at least a half wall divider between the sleeping and living areas. I've not stayed in a Garden Inn before, as previous stays were either at Hilton Tapestry Collection or the budget Spark hotels. Overall, the service was good, the property was adequate, and the "living area" a dissapointment. I will likely not stay again as I believe there are better values both inside and out of the Hilton line up.
The breakfast was really good, except the eggs - and it was not included … which I didn’t realize! Rooms were clean, new, and didn’t smell like mold or cigarettes! The valet guys were not super helpful, and the front desk was friendly, but lacked attention to detail. Overall - a great stay - super close to downtown attractions! Would definitely go back!
My stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown was outstanding, thanks to Front Office Manager Siobhan Sims. She was gracious, warm, and incredibly knowledgeable. She took the time to walk us through our Hilton Honors perks and made sure we fully understood the benefits available to us. What impressed me most was how personable and solution?oriented she was. When we had questions about the difference between group pricing and ordering individually, she listened, clarified everything, and offered thoughtful solutions. Her professionalism turned what could have been a frustrating moment into a positive experience. She even ensured we were taken care of with breakfast and an adjusted rate not as a “favor,” but as part of her commitment to fairness and excellent guest service. Her leadership is clearly reflected in her team. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. The consistency across the entire front office speaks volumes about the quality of management behind the scenes. Because of Siobhan and her outstanding staff, our stay was smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. She is a true asset to Hilton, and we look forward to returning.
The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Downtown is a solid choice if you’re staying in the heart of the city. The location is excellent—walkable to major attractions like Centennial Olympic Park, the aquarium, and downtown dining, which makes getting around easy. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The rooms are spacious enough, the beds are comfortable, and everything feels dependable and functional, which is exactly what you expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. Common areas are nice and welcoming, even if they’re not particularly flashy. Service was consistently good during my stay—professional and helpful without being overly formal. While it doesn’t feel like a luxury property, it does a lot of things right and delivers a smooth, reliable experience. Overall, this is a better?than?average downtown hotel with a great location and solid value. I’d happily stay here again when visiting Atlanta.
I'm disabled with three bags all four individuals at the desk were very nice but not one of the three women nor the man offered to assist with my luggage. Room is adequate, the view is awesome. I turned the fridge up when I checked in on Wednesday. I threw my leftovers in last night. They were warm this morning at 6. Called the desk. Engineer came 1130(am) and told me refrigerators don't get any colder and they don't make noise. The room being on 66 was colder than the refrigerator. He took the replacement and told me good night.
Good staff/service. Awful pillows. Nice clean room and bathrooms. Hot tub didn't work. Pricey parking. Great location to the aquarium, Cenntenial Olympic Park and the College Football Hall of Fame. Several restaurants to choose from in the area, even though our experience with most all of them we're not very good. Good security presence.
We had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Downtown Atlanta! We were in town celebrating a 7th birthday at the Aquarium, and this hotel was perfect! It’s literally right next to the Georgia Aquarium and Centennial Park, and we were able to easily walk to the World of Coke and the SkyView Ferris Wheel. Everything felt super walkable and safe, even at night with young kids. The hotel itself was a great value. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, and a solid breakfast. The indoor pool was a big hit, and the rooftop pool area was super cool with great views (even though it was a bit too cold to swim outside). Overall, an awesome stay and we’d definitely come back next time we visit Atlanta!
This hotel checked all of our boxes and staff was super great and attentive! They brought us things like towels and blankets and toilet paper in the middle of the night several times with no delay. We also were pleasantly surprised with the outdoor facilities still completely available despite it being November (until 11pm!). It was great to walk around at the aquarium all day and then soak in the hot tub. There were 4 of us in the double queen room and it was comfortable. The only thing I would say about the room is there is no fan in the bathroom, so it would get humid in the room after 4 people showering. Location was amazing. They helped us with a late checkout and held our bags for several hours until it was time to go to the airport. The view of the park and aquarium was also really nice, at some points we were able to see a seal through one of the windows in the roof. This is a more of a general Atlanta problem- but the tap water, even when filtered, tastes like straight up dirt water in the fall and the water bottles to buy at the shop downstairs were pretty expensive. Overall, it was clean, convenient and comfortable. Friends were surprised it was only a 3 star hotel!
