Antagonistic guest reviews highlight a distinct contrast between the impressive lobby and outdated, poorly maintained guest rooms, often citing issues with plumbing, climate control, and building infrastructure like elevators.
Stayed 3/7 - 3/8 Pros: 7mins from venue I worked. Check-in was easy and quick. Cons: Rm 831 had no working AC. Door latch would not lock (had to use top lock + chair to keep from swinging open) I’m certain there are better suited rooms. Rm 831 needs some more care.
We chose this hotel because of its convenient location for business. When you first walk into the lobby, it’s beautiful and smells amazing. The first impression is great — modern, clean, and welcoming. Unfortunately, that impression does not extend past the lobby. As soon as we got off the elevator, the condition of the hallways was extremely disappointing. There were visible cracks in the walls, scuffed and damaged doors, worn finishes, and an overall neglected feel. Inside the room was even worse. The bathroom corners had visible dirt buildup, the air vent was covered in dust, doors were chipped, and even the lampshade looked stained and worn. The room did not feel properly cleaned. We were so uncomfortable that we slept on top of the covers. To make matters worse, there was a broken door on the floor with construction materials visible behind it (see attached video). That is not only unattractive — it raises safety concerns. Guests should not be exposed to unfinished or unsecured maintenance areas. It honestly feels like all of the effort went into the lobby while the guest floors and rooms were overlooked. The contrast is misleading. We will not be staying here again, and I would not recommend it unless serious improvements are made throughout the property — not just at the front entrance.
Stay here through the Holidays Christmas and New Year. Very clean. Rooms smell good, building smells good. Nice interior design. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Quiet. Publix across the street, McDonald's, Starbucks, and 2 gas stations. Nice gym for light work. Pool is amazing, half of it is outside, the other half indoors. Nice patio area. Breakfast was good. Potatoes, grits, French toast, variety of juice, (vegan) didn't see the meat. Smoking area out back. Easy check in and out. I loved it.
Service for breakfast & after work cocktails was amazing! Wish the Southern biscuits & gravy would have been sausage, tasted more like chewy bacon with no flavor (pepper, spices). I know menus have to be a little bland, but have the seasonings there for those of us that like some flavor. (Not a rip, I did enjoy my stay!)
Location of hotel and size of room are good. Front desk staff seemed more concerned about being on their cell phone than taking care of guests. Was suppose to receive a free meal (buffet style) the night of check-in as this was a corporate event but only a portion was covered and the food quality was that of a High School Cafeteria. Water pressure in the shower was the worst I’ve ever experienced in a hotel. I asked for trash to be emptied from my room and they left empty takeout containers. Rooms are large but outdated and not set up well with wasted space. Closet doors were knocked off their tracks which made the doors inoperable. Lobby and entire first floor look nice but it stops at the elevator door. Not a place I would recommend.
I stay here about once a year for work. Location is nice because there is a Starbucks, a good grocery store, gas stations, and a few restaurants all within walking distance, and it is right off the freeway. The hotel has some cosmetic damage, but the rooms are overall very spacious and clean. Each room has a nice desk and chair to work at, which I appreciate. The hotel gym has a good rack of weights, cable machine, treadmills, stationary bikes, and ellipticals. Larger than your typical gym which is also a plus for me when traveling.
This was my second time coming here and the stay was always pleasant and refreshing! Their night front desk agent, Shaun, was a breath of fresh air! My sister and I had just left another location where our checkin experience was AWFUL. We didn't tell him that, but after interacting with him, our night was saved! 10/10 top customer service ?
Great location and ALL staff was friendly. I usually don’t do the hotel breakfast but this one was pretty good, clean, and well put together. The only issue was we had no hot water the morning after our arrival. We notified the front desk and they sent maintenance. Well in to the evening there still was no hot water and no update so we called front desk again. Again, they sent maintenance and ultimately had to change our rooms. The furniture in the room we were moved to looked worn and could probably be replaced but other than that slight inconvenience I’d return.
Elevator Armageddon here. There are 3 guest elevators and one service elevator. About 3 weeks ago the 3 guest elevators all went down. Next day one was still down and has been since. Now today 3 weeks later they are down to one guest elevator including the service elevator being down. The restaurant is not good. They don't follow their own schedule of when they are open. I showed up 10 minutes after they were supposed to be open for dinner and the server tried to put me off because they weren't ready. I said I have to be somewhere soon and needed something now. She brought a menu where everything but three items were crossed off. Breakfast is $20 and worse than a typical free continental breakfast at most other hotels. The breakfast is open too late for the majority of guests here that are blue collar workers. We are at work when they are just opening. I am in a corporate long stay room and no microwave. I asked for one and they said I would have to change rooms if I wanted one. I didn't want to repack and get a room that was hot, which is what several other guests were complaining about. It's hit or miss between rooms with the room temperature, water temperature and pressure. The laundry room is about the size of a closet with one washer and one dryer for nine floors of guests. The upside is the staff is friendly and they do a good job cleaning the rooms. If they took the effort to improve a few things this could easily be a four or five star stay for it's class of hotels.
I had the pleasure of staying here for a week. The food is for breakfast and dinner is great quality, quantity and taste exceptional. The location is in a quiet area but still close to just about anything you would like to do.
