The Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta receives mixed reviews, highlighting its central location and upscale atmosphere, but also concerns regarding inconsistent service, noise, and room quality. Recent stays have shown improvements in some areas, while older reviews indicate issues with cleanliness, amenities, and parking costs.
This is the second time my friend and I have stayed at Hyatt centric in Buckhead. One of the reasons we chose it is because of the very helpful and courteous valets. My friend is minimally handicapped, and has much trouble walking. Therefore, we travel with an automated chair and a walker, and of course, all our luggage. Jahari, our valet, did a great job getting us loaded and out so quickly each time we needed our car..
We stayed here for 3 nights over Memorial Day weekend and honestly left very disappointed, especially considering the price. Our stay averaged almost $250 per night, and for that cost we expected much more than what felt like a very average hotel experience. First, the room itself was extremely small. We also paid extra to be on the 14th floor expecting a better view, but the view was definitely not worth the additional charge. Another major issue was the noise from the rooftop restaurant/bar on the 15th floor. Music could be heard through the ceiling almost every night. Housekeeping was also lacking. During our entire 3-night stay, we only received one room refresh, and even then they left all of the trash sitting in the room instead of actually removing it. We also ordered room service for a couple drinks one evening — not even food — and despite having a scheduled delivery time, it arrived over 20 minutes late. We eventually had to call room service ourselves just to get the order brought to the room. One of the amenities that helped justify the higher price was supposed to be the complimentary car service within 1.5 miles of the hotel. However, it was basically unusable. They base the distance off of the drive not the distance to the hotel so if a couple extra turns are needed that make it 1.6 instead of 1.5 they won’t take you. Also it’s first come first serve, you cannot book a car in advance or call you have to go to the valet and hope there’s a car available we went on a Thursday at 3pm and no car was available. Overall, this hotel felt very overpriced for what it offers. Small rooms, minimal housekeeping, noise issues, delayed service, and amenities that don’t function as advertised made this stay not worth the money. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
I checked into the hotel last night and was initially assigned to a room with the city view. Unfortunately, the room was located right next to the freeway and the traffic noises made it difficult to sleep throughout the night. A special thank you to Brandon front desk who promptly assisted me the next day by moving me to room 1220. The new room was located on the small side away from the freeway, and made it much quieter. The room itself was clean, neat and comfortable. The hotel is also in a great central location right next to Lennox shopping center. What truly made my stay memorable, however was the exceptional service provided by the valet attendant Joe. From the moment I arrived Joe was welcoming, professional, and extremely helpful. He assisted with my luggage, carefully set it aside for me, and clearly explained the parking options $40 for self parking and $52 for valet parking. I initially chose self parking, but when I was unable to find an available, space, Joe went above and beyond to help. He took my car while I sat in the passenger seat and drove through the parking area, looking for an opening. Noticing a vehicle that appeared ready to leave, Joe kindly approached the driver to confirm, and fortunately they were indeed pulling out. Joe then parked my car for me. His level of attentiveness and customer care was truly outstanding. Joe delivered amazing customer service and made a stressful situation much easier.
We stayed here for our wedding weekend and really enjoyed ourselves! The rooms were very nice and service was great. One small thing is we wished there was a microwave in the room. We also had some credit to use at the rooftop bar but it closed at 10pm not 11pm like it says on Google Maps. It was our last night and we were hoping to get some drinks, and Alec went out of his way to bring us some which we really appreciated. The valet and front desk employees were all very nice and we had a great experience overall. Special thank you to Alec!
Excellent experience with this valet company. Preston was the one who helped us out and he did a fantastic job. He greeted us right away, was polite, professional, and made the whole process quick and easy. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and treats people with respect. Great customer service from start to finish. Preston definitely made a great impression.
We stayed here for the first time in Buckhead because my mom had a WPF conference in September 2025. This boutique hotel was great because its location was central to restaurants and shopping. The boutique hotel gives an upscale boutique atmosphere. You feel as though you are being taken care of but it also gives a chill vibe because of the restaurant views of downtown. The decor and motif of the rooms pay homage to the southwestern culture but with a modern twist. I loved the colors and furniture and accents in the room, the lobby, the restaurants and other areas. The rooms were always well cleaned and stocked with all the toiletries and necessities when we arrived as well as throughout our stay. Even though the hotel had an event and is located near shops and restaurants, there was no issues with noise or service, there were no complaints. NOW, LETS ADDRESS THE AMAZING AND WONDERFUL STAFF that made my stay even better to the point that I would come back specifically to this hotel because of their STAFF. Jazalyn, Chantai, Mahari, Brandon and Lakuan WERE AMAZING! Each of them provided excellent customer service with a smile, always willing to help and answer all my questions, very attentive and friendly! They gave us wonderful and delicious restaurant recommendations that were 5 stars! Make sure to keep them apart of your staff! Also, cannot leave this review without mentioning Troy and his valet team, they were so accommodating, attentive and polite! They also provided excellent service with a smile and taking us to places within 1 mile as a part of their complimentary shuttle service. If you stay there, make sure to look out for the awesome front desk staff, food manager, and valet team! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, TRUST ME!!!!!
This is a hotel where I stayed for a business trip. I had the opportunity to stay there for the second time. The location is excellent. The breakfast, which is prepared as a set menu according to your preferences and tailored specifically for the company, is a very nice touch. It's about 25-30 minutes from the airport, although you might encounter some traffic on the way. However, it's right across from Lenox for shopping. You can explore the area by bicycle. The staff is very attentive and friendly compared to other hotels in the US. I can say it's my favorite hotel in America.
Overall, it wasn't the worst experience I ever had. The location is trash and I was hoping for a better experience overall. You will have to pay for parking that is around $40 Per day. You have to cross the street to the hotel and this road can be busy. You will also have to pay a travel fee around $25 per day. I been to other upscale hotel around the area. I was just disappointed from the lack of luxury experience from this hotel.
The location is everything!! The hotel is nice. We booked here to enjoy my birthday, 12/18, on the rooftop to only find out it was booked for a private event. My husband and I tried again the next night and the outdoor part of the rooftop was booked. A little disappointing not being able to enjoy one of the main things that attracted me to the hotel. Overall, the service was good and I'll book here again without the expectation of taking advantage of the rooftop bar.
The service was a solid 5/5, and the manager was incredibly friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Atlanta. They offer a free shuttle to and from anywhere within 1.5 miles. There was one time when the driver got stuck in traffic and couldn’t pick us up, but the staff sincerely apologized, and overall the experience was great.
