Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown offers a central location near the Fox Theater and a boutique atmosphere, but guests should be aware of smaller rooms and limited bathroom space. While the staff is generally friendly, recurring issues with billing discrepancies and parking fees have been reported.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You WILL be signing up for scam roulette. Maybe it gets you, maybe it doesn't. But do you really want to take that chance? I stayed at this hotel for a work event and the room was covered by the organization at which I was receiving an honor and giving a talk. The stay overall was fine, no complaints. Until a few weeks later when I noticed a charge of almost $600 on the card I put down for incidentals. The hotel's claim - a fine for smoking in the room. First of all, I do not smoke. Second of all, I am not stupid enough to attempt it in a hotel room. Worst of all, I had brought the charge up to the organization who hosted me, thinking at first I had been charged for the room by accident. But no, we had to go through this drawn-out back and forth with the hotel, which was embarrassing for me. I can't help but think that it made me appear irresponsible to my professional contacts, as if I had actually smoked and been caught. After 6 months, I finally was able to get refunded for the fraudulent charge. The hotel staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful when I tried to dispute the claim internally, so instead I had to refute the charge to my bank. I compiled pages and pages of similar complaints for this hotel as part of my evidence package for the bank - just scroll through the other reviews here and you'll see plenty of them. Ultimately, the bank sided with me, which was a huge relief. All in all, this scam attempt was exhausting, extremely frustrating, and soured what was supposed to be a special event for me. I would never stay at this hotel again, and neither should you.
Central location to everything. Cierra is great. She helped me check in and made the process seamless, easy and fast. She’s knowledgeable about the city and where to go. She’s also accommodating and very understanding. My room had the boutique bathroom. It is very small but it has double doors that adds to the aesthetic of the room and I don’t mind leaving them opening if it gets stuff. When you walk in the room, there’s also a big mirror and a place to do your makeup if needed. I love the vibe and quick customer service. UPDATE: don’t order the margherita flatbread. It is not the traditional margherita pizza toppings, and it’s very underwhelming. It doesn’t taste the best. I’d rather have a pizza lunchable for a cheaper price, same vibe.
Rooms are indeed small (and bathrooms are smaller!) but overall, this hotel was well-kept and the location was convenient. If I came back I would not pay $50 for hotel parking and just do the street parking. Do be aware that there is a $20 "historical preservation fee" charged on all stays. I also did not receive an emailed bill ever.
I had a great stay at this property in Midtown Atlanta. The staff was friendly, check-in was quick and easy, and the location was perfect for the concert I was attending. There were plenty of food spots within a 10-minute walk, which made things really convenient. My only small gripe was the bathroom. It was very small and felt a bit like an afterthought compared to the rest of the room, almost like an RV bathroom. Aside from that, everything else about the stay was excellent.
Please be cautious if you are considering staying at this hotel. First, if you only plan to park overnight and will be entering and exiting just once, do not pay the $50 parking fee through the hotel. It is only $45 if you pull a ticket yourself. Save your money. Second, carefully review your account before you leave. I was never sent a folio, and I was charged for bottled water that I did not drink or even touch. When I called, they said they would credit the charge. Instead, I was charged again. When I contacted them about the second charge, they told me to wait a few days. I still have not received my refund, and now I'm charged two times for something I never even touch. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. Be aware and double-check your bill. There are plenty of other places to stay.
We attended an event at Fox Theatre and the indigo is the perfect location. No parking hassles at all we just walked across the street to the theater. Perfect! There are also plenty of restaurants in the near proximity as well as a small restaurant and bar in the hotel, which we utilized. The rooms are a little quirky, but for one night stay it didn't bother us, especially for the convenience. Shout out to Kennedy who worked in the restaurant bar. It was her first evening of work and she was given not ideal circumstances, and she rocked it out! It looked like a lot was thrown at her for a first night, and she rose to the occasion. Kudos Kennedy.
I would say 4 stars The rooms are fine, altho a bit small. Location is good, next to Georgia Tech However, there were a few hiccups with my parking pass not working during our stay and no trash can on our floor. We also didn't get cleaning service during our stay. However, the place was recently renovated and is quite cute and cozy. They made good use of the space they had.
We had a great 7 day stay here! It will always be memorable for a few reasons. A) proximity to the FOX was incredible B) The beds might be some of the softest and coziest and comfiest I’ve ever slept in and we have traveled to 49 hotels in the last two years. So that’s saying something. C) Don and Isaiah went above and beyond multiple times during our stay to make sure we have what we needed and Don provided some great recommendations on local food spots that we will always remember.
Hotel was very nice! Check-in was very easy and morning staff friendly. If you buy a parking pass for the parking garage, the garage height is very low... I think 6'1" which is lower than most so don't expect to park a lifted truck. We got a room with a Fox theater view. The Room itself was nice. The Bathroom itself was the only reason I didn't give 5 stars for the room. The bathroom was very tight. This is not a huge issue bc we were exploring down town all weekend so we weren't in our room much! The night life in the area is pretty good. The night host Izaya was very helpful and hilarious. Location is great, cental to a bunch of activities. Also.. having the electric scooters everywhere... you can get anywhere very cheap and the rides are fun too. Overall I was satisfied with my stay. I highly recommend for the price!
I stayed here for work this week. The location is perfect for access to Honeywell nearby. The bathroom is quite small. The rooms are modern. It has a lively small bar in the lobby. I didn’t try the food. I have to give shout out to Isaiah who works evenings/nights. Just a fun, engaging guy who interacts easily with guests and made the work trip a little more fun. Thanks Isaiah!
