Guests love the ideal location and friendly service but frequently complain about outdated rooms, cleanliness issues, and inconsistent food quality.
I was there for a conference over the weekend. Five pallets of products had to be brought to the meeting rooms on the 2nd floor on hotel carts because their service elevator was broken. The stay itself was nice, but the broken service elevator really delayed setup.
We stayed here due to a flight cancellation and were treated exceptionally well. They allowed an early check-in to an excellent room and were warm and friendly from start to end. Thanks especially to Vladimir in the front desk, who were so friendly to us. Highly recommend.
We had a very pleasant stay at the JW Marriott Atlanta Buckhead. Upon arrival around midnight, we were greeted in a professional and welcoming manner, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The valet service stood out in particular: consistently friendly, well-organized, and efficient. Our car was always available within ten minutes, which made coming and going very convenient. The room was clean and well maintained, reflecting the high standards expected of a JW Marriott property. The bed was especially comfortable and contributed to a great night’s sleep. Overall, a reliable and comfortable stay with excellent service. We would gladly return. From the airport it’s a 20-30 minutes drive. There is no shuttle service. Overnight parking fee is acceptable.
The room is fine, it doesn’t feel like it’s more luxury than any 3 star hotel. The valets I interacted with were good. What frustrated me most, and made me feel like I might as well have stayed at a Comfort Inn, was that I ordered room service last night and tidied everything up to be picked up by room service today. After being gone all day, I returned to my room at 5PM and the room was still not serviced and my room stunk of day old food. I asked at the front desk and was told room service may not occur until 6PM, which seems absolutely crazy, especially for a “5 star hotel” and that if I wanted room service at a specific time i could have requested that. Default should be “a time where things i ordered from you don’t make my room stink for the rest of the night”. Also, the pool was out of service and it is one of the reasons I chose this hotel.
The JW Marriott at Lenox Square offers an exceptional stay from start to finish. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, providing excellent service that makes you feel taken care of the moment you arrive. The lobby is beautifully kept—spotlessly clean and made even more inviting with festive Christmas decorations that create a warm, elegant holiday atmosphere. The rooms are just as impressive: clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. And you can’t beat the location—directly connected to Lenox Mall, making shopping, dining, and exploring incredibly convenient. Overall, it’s a perfect blend of comfort, service, and convenience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area.
I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Atlanta and was blown away by the exceptional service. Everyone was so nice, attentive and made sure I was taken care of. I feel terrible for not remembering the kind man's name at the front desk but he's a "military brat" from Portmouth...incredibly sweet. Him and Jamari (I think that's how you spell it..nice gentleman from the Virgin Islands) made sure I had everything I needed. I'd definitely stay here again if I visit Buckhead.
I am a Bonvoy member and this was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I have had at any Marriott property. The JW Marriott in Buckhead is marketed as a luxury hotel but there is absolutely nothing luxurious about it. There was no bellhop service. The staff were dismissive and seemed irritated by basic requests. The attitude at the front desk alone was enough to ruin the stay. The rooms are outdated and look more like a Holiday Inn Express than a supposed high end property. Nothing about the room felt premium. The overall atmosphere felt neglected and unwelcoming. On top of that the service from several staff members was cold and borderline hostile. I should not be paying premium prices to be treated with disrespect by employees who clearly do not want to be here. The only redeeming part of my stay was the breakfast staff in the Prestige restaurant. They were attentive, warm and professional in a way that stood in complete contrast to the rest of the hotel. Their service was the single bright moment during an otherwise disappointing visit. This is not the first bad experience I have had with Marriott in Atlanta. I still have not received the points I was promised after my terrible stay at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis back in March. After giving Marriott multiple chances it is clear that the quality and professionalism across their hotels has fallen dramatically. At this point I am strongly considering never staying at a Marriott owned hotel again. I would advise anyone expecting a true luxury experience in Buckhead to look elsewhere. This property is not worth the money or the frustration.
Staff is very helpful and friendly. Hotel isn't anywhere near worth the price. No soap in our room, uses fork sitting on the door. Classic case of paying for location while Marriott pays as little as possible for upkeep.
Had a wonderful time at the Baldiecon 2025 conference. Staff was so pleasant. Was greeted before entering the hotel. Ambience was so on point. The room was so stunning. I hate I didn't wear the bath robe, lol. The restaurant was nice and the ballroom and catering was 10 out of 10 thanks to those Southern Grits!!! Would recommend and so easy to access from the airport via the train. Convenience!!!!
Staff was accommodating, gracious and friendly! Extremely clean and modern rooms. Super easy to get an Uber and felt safe waiting out front on the very early morning hours.
