Guests praise the spacious suites and prime Midtown location, often citing staff members like Tim, Christopher, or Nyla K for making their stay enjoyable. However, the property suffers from complaints regarding its outdated rooms, poor management responsiveness, and safety concerns with the parking vendor.
Good location. Close to midtown and restaurants. Building is old but maintained. Everything function well. A pair of slippers for the room would be nice. Service is basic.
I had a great stay at the Atlanta Marriott Midtown thanks to Tim. He made everything smooth and stress-free with his professionalism, friendliness, and helpful recommendations. His service truly made the visit memorable!
I stayed in September 2025 and was met by a lovely lady by reception named Nyla K. She made me laugh and was very efficient. I accidentally took her adapter and I totally forgot to write a review but here I am now. Thanks Nyla if you're out there still. Great trip
We had the best stay in this hotel! The lady at the front desk was always helpful and so nice! We were made to feel at home even though we were hours away. The rooms are very big and the balcony view made it even nicer. The location is perfect for all types of travel. My vehicle was safe locked in their private parking garage. We stayed two nights here and will definitely be back again!!
This was my first time staying at a Mariott and I would not recommend staying here! The hotel feels super outdated and the wifi isn't even complimentary (in 2025?!) unless you sign up to their rewards program. There are much better hotels nearby for a comparable price. The only thing it had going is a good location in mid town.
We’ve stayed here multiple times while visiting Atlanta. The experience has always been good. The rooms are clean, large, and easy to get to via the elevator. 4 stars for the rooms because they could use some updating but otherwise, a decently priced place to stay in midtown.
I booked a suite at the Marriott Midtown for my daughter’s 12th birthday, and it was a wonderful experience! The rooms were very spacious, which was perfect for our stay. From the photos online I expected the rooms to feel a little outdated, but I was pleasantly surprised—they were much nicer in person. I had read some comments about the bathrooms, but honestly, they weren’t bad at all. Everything was clean and comfortable. When we first arrived, the TV remote wasn’t working, but I messaged the front desk and it was fixed within 10 minutes—super quick and responsive! Later, when we requested extra pillows and a mattress topper for the pull-out couch, those were brought up right away too. The pull out was a bit rough to sleep on, but expected. Overall, the service was excellent, the room was great, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
I had a disappointing experience during my stay at this Marriott property in Atlanta in June 2025. On the night of my arrival, I ordered a flatbread from room service and stopped by the lobby bar to pick it up. I informed a male staff member at the bar (long braided hair, beard) that I was there for a pickup order. He asked me to wait, which I was fine with at first. But then he proceeded to assist other guests who arrived after me and deliberately ignored me—avoiding eye contact and moving in an obviously slow, dismissive manner. I was standing directly in front of the register the whole time. Eventually, a different staff member (short hair) came by, and I asked for help. He immediately found my order—it had been sitting on a shelf behind the bar the entire time. To make matters worse, I encountered the same original staff member a few more times in the following days near the elevators. He clearly recognized me and continued to behave rudely by turning his head away in an arrogant, dismissive way every time. I felt extremely uncomfortable. After my trip, I received a follow-up email from the hotel manager asking for feedback about my stay. I appreciated the outreach and took the time to share what had happened in detail via email. The manager initially replied that the issue would be escalated to the Food & Beverage Manager and that I would hear back regarding next steps or compensation. Unfortunately, I never received any further follow-up, despite sending a polite reminder. This lack of accountability made the experience even more disappointing. This experience was deeply disappointing. I hope this review helps prompt better service accountability and follow-through.
Management will make sure you have had an enjoyable stay. The self-parking is good because it is accessible to the elevator, which takes you directly to your floor. No need for valet and the extra cost. The rooms are very spacious, but that is it. They are outdated and are not very inviting. The location is great.
I sent several messages through the booking app informing the hotel that I would be doing a late check-in, but I never received a response. When my flight was delayed, I updated them again to let them know I would arrive the following day at 2pm. Once again, no one replied, and I was later billed with a no-show fee. When I arrived at the hotel, I went directly to the front desk to check if my reservation was still valid. Instead of acknowledging my messages, the staff created a new reservation for me. None of my previous attempts to communicate were ever addressed. Big rooms, big bathroom.
