I am typically very satisfied and content with my experience at Hilton hotels, however this time I was very disappointed and unhappy. I will not be returning, much less would I recommend this hotel to others. We stayed one night at the Hilton Garden Inn- Atlanta Midtown, GA from March 6-7. March 7th in the morning at 7am we were woken up by a man walking into our room claiming he was security and was told by front desk that this room was vacant and he was looking for something another guest had reported lost. He just stood there talking instead of apologizing and getting out of the room. That was unacceptable and I am upset we left with little to no help. We were not able to get any more sleep after because of how shaken up we were to be woken up to a stranger in our room. I am VERY concerned that they would tell someone this room was vacant when clearly they had guest staying there. I am a woman I can’t imagine how much scarier this would have been if my boyfriend was not with me and I was woken up by a man walking into my hotel room!!!! Also, how are they not aware which room are vacant/occupied for safety reasons if the building needed to be evacuated they would not know which rooms were in use or how many guest they have on premises? This is unacceptable and could have ended different if I was alone. We expressed our concerns to the front desk at checkout and they offered a 50% off our stay but I am VERY disappointed and concerned that this was not handled differently especially for safety reasons!!! I would have preferred a refund and I will definitely never be returning!!!!
Bad reviews travels faster than the good ones. But one good review can change everything. I was here on a work visit. The location- is good. Very good location. But you will have a lot of homeless people to deal with. I think they should work more on security. Though they never bothered me as i went out for my early morning jog The rooms- needs to be updated. Looks quite outdated but just a little change here and there can make it better. Noise coming from the highway can be very upsetting. If you are a lite-sleeper, you shouldn't bother staying here. Service- Its everything in Hospitality. My stay was excellent. Though at check in, it looked like the lady at the front desk was clueless. No excitement. The other lady who later walked past me too looked like she was just woken up from sleep and the whole smell of cigarette followed her as she walked pass me. Who i later realized was also a frontdesk agent. They both didnt make it welcoming. For my first 2 days, it wasnt so good. The coffees where cold in d afternoon. The coffee table was not inviting. But the night shift lady changed the whole experience on my 3rd night. As early as 5am in the morning the entire face of the coffee stand looked inviting. Well arranged, no traces of sugar or any spill on the table. Neatly cleaned. And I was welcome with a beautiful goodmorning and a very welcoming smile. For the rest of my nights, Ms Oppy birth this review. She was professional, very well put together, courteous & respectful(unlike the ones I first had encounter with) I made mention of how she handled the few issues I had to my friend who was at your property a few weeks before mine and he also attested to Ms Oppy's professionalism. Thank you Ms oppy, I will be visiting by April and be staying on this property because of her. Valet is $50. Solomon in valet was also professional. Incidental is $100 per night. Breakfast is about $17 but the bacon is soooo good.
I usually have great experiences with Hilton hotels, but unfortunately, this location was a major disappointment. I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this hotel to others. Customer service was generally okay, except for one staff member named Krystal, who was extremely rude and unprofessional. In addition, the shower water never got hot during our stay. To make matters worse, the plumbing appeared to be installed incorrectly—the hot water came out cold and the cold water came out hot. Even then, the water was only lukewarm the entire time we stayed. We also found a bug in our room, which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and overall maintenance. At checkout, I noticed my card was charged $6 for bottled water, despite being told at check-in that the water in the room was complimentary. Initially, the charge was $3. When I called the front desk to question the charge, I was told someone would follow up with me regarding the issue. Without my consent, the charge was increased from $3 to $6 based on that phone conversation. I was assured that Hilton would call me back regarding this charge, but I have yet to hear from anyone. Also, valet was very slow and unaccommodating for Hilton to charge $50 per night. Definitely not worth it. This situation has been handled very unprofessionally, and I will be disputing the charge. Overall, this experience fell far below Hilton standards, and I am extremely disappointed. This trip didn't do anything but waste my time and money.
We arrived and our room was not what we had reserved but Krystal fixed it with no issue. Another young lady that works overnight was excellent. We ordered food from the restaurant through the bartender and she was awesome. We ordered a hamburger and chicken tenders, the hamburger was great. The tenders were not so great, tasted like frozen tenders. The gentlemen working the breakfast buffet was polite and helpful. The snack area has plenty of options to purchase. Our room was clean, spacious and the entire building was quiet and not filled with noise. My complaints are that the hotel lobby was cold which I think when we ordered the breakfast buffet affected it's warmth. There is a 200 security deposit at check in that was not mentioned on the app which I made the reservation through. Overall, the staff, the hotel cleanliness was great.
I stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Atlanta Midtown twice in the past month. The first trip was for business and the second was for fun. Valera is the reason I came back. I’m big on the customer experience and I had the opportunity to witness how she interacted with every guest. The kindness that she extended to all of us went above and beyond. She even helped me sort out a billing issue. I’ll never use a 3rd party for travel to Atlanta again. I know where I’ll stay and who I’ll make future reservations with because Valera gained you a loyal customer. She truly is a gem!
This was our second time staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown ATL, and once again the experience was wonderful. Beyond the comfortable rooms, it’s the front desk team that truly sets this location apart. We stayed the weekend of November 1st, and Kenny went above and beyond for us. My husband was stressed after flying in overnight, worried that our room wouldn’t be ready, but Kenny handled everything with patience, kindness, and complete professionalism. He reassured us, treated us with genuine care, and made the check-in process smooth. His friendly and calming presence made all the difference—we wish more people carried themselves with that level of grace. We also want to highlight Valeria, who remembered us from our previous visit and welcomed us so warmly when we called ahead. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality made us feel valued and excited to return. The front desk staff here is truly exceptional. Their service, kindness, and consistency are the reason we keep coming back. That first impression matters, and this team gets it right every single time. Thank you all so much for making our stays memorable!
Mr.kenny, val, JB and the night front desk ladies had made my stay the most amazing weekend for pride weekend 10/9 -10/12 My last stay was not very well but when I reach out to mr.kenny he was quick on his feet to give me the best next stay anyone could ask for. He upgraded my room, kept notes on my stay so when I did speak to someone else my notes were in the system and even held my overload work products nice and safe while I was at another job activation. This staff made me so happy and welcoming while I was in and out of work, the laughs ive had and the fun weekend I had and stay was just amazing! Thank you so much to ALL of the front desk staff who made my weekend but mostly thank you to Mr.kenny. I will deff come back to this location
I travel alot for work and I've never had the service like I experienced at this Hilton garden inn. I have to say that Valera is amazing. She greeted me the second day of my 5 day stay by my name. I asked her how she remembered amd she said thats what I do. I was so impressed I told her I would write a review , its been a couple of weeks but she is amazing. This is the kind of employee that companies strive to have represent them. Great job!
I deliver to this hotel weekly. The staff here is so kind and lovely that I recently had an event I was attending and decided select this hotel for my stay due to it being my favorite hotel in the area the event I was attending. Ms. Val at the front desk is my favorite, she is always so amazing both in interactions with me and other guest I've gotten to know her pretty well over the last 3 years and grown more fond of her with every interaction. Ms. Oppy is a close second if either of them are assisting you, you are without a doubt in great hands. Also if you are going to an event in the area and want secure guarded parking this is the spot. The valet team are very professional and amazing I felt so bad that I didnt have any cash on hand to tip them because they went above and beyond in service.
Only complaint is that the microwave was a bit busted where the center plate wasn't spinning. Other than that, everything was great. Staff are really nice and friendly. Room is clean. Towels are clean. Lamps have some USB ports to charge devices. Good amount of desk space. Comfy clean bed. Nice shower. Wouldn't mind staying here again.
