The Hampton Inn Atlanta Buckhead receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its convenient location and friendly staff, while others express significant concerns regarding cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality. Recurring issues include towel shortages, room maintenance problems (mold, stains, burn marks), and inconsistent housekeeping. Recent reviews increasingly highlight a decline in the hotel's condition and responsiveness from staff.
Location is great for what we need but the service is completely negligent! They ran out of towels so we had to use the pool towels which are very thin. Housekeeping was non-existent. The breakfast was not tended to very well. The hotel needs a lot of renovations and upkeep. We've stayed here many times over the years but it has really gone downhill. It seems like Hilton has totally forgotten about this facility. I don't anticipate it being open much longer unless Hilton invests in some renovations and upkeep!
Woke up to take a shower at 9:30 before checkout, only to realize there were no towels in my room. Cool, that’s fine, they just forgot when setting up the room. Called the front desk to find out they were out of towels & would have to wait 30-45mins for a towel. I ended up using the towel that’s meant to lay just outside the shower when you get out. You would think a basic towel would be plentiful at a hotel. Guess not.
Front desk was a complete mess. I called front desk to ask why no one cleaned my room in TWO days and she said: our staff did not clean much today. They said the same abt the day before. If your housekeeping service is not going to be efficient then why bother running a hotel in the first place. Secondly, I asked if they could at least bring me some towels and toilet paper and they said: I’m too busy with other guest? Mind you I have had this ON GOING ISSUE for TWO DAYS NOW. If your staff is “too busy” (keep in mind this is a select service hotel not even full) maybe schedule more people? She had sent the security guard to give me towels. I was not even rude to her and she was telling me to calm down but nonetheless, how can anyone not be enraged when you pay for a service and not even the front desk can help you. Useless hotel. Sad hotel. No wonder they are select service. At least Katrina found a solution, a dude at the front desk with dreads told me that I better come get the towels? And when I came down they just had one, & said: you lucky this is our last towel. Anyways, don’t check in at this property. Theres plenty of Hampton inn, pick a better one, this was a complete mess.
We recently traveled to Atlanta and stayed at the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Buckhead. From the start, the front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions and making check-in quick and easy. When we got to our room, we were immediately pleased with how clean everything was. The room itself was what you’d expect from a standard hotel setup—bed, bathroom, and TV—but it also felt spacious. We had plenty of room to move around, and I appreciated having a nice desk to work at, which made it comfortable to settle in. One of the biggest perks of this hotel was the free parking. In an area where parking can be difficult to find, that was a real convenience and made coming and going much easier. The location also worked well for us. It was close to several restaurants, so we could walk to grab food, and it was also near the places we were visiting, which saved us time. Breakfast was included and had a good selection of choices. Everything we tried was enjoyable and a nice way to start the day without needing to go out right away. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Buckhead area.
Response to owner: I love your fake “we care” response. It took multiple days, corporate and a GM from another Hampton hotel to get a response from Sabrina smith that they would finally refund the double charge. You know what wasn’t in the email…..not even an apology. Anyone seeing this response, save your time with hotel help and go to another location or different hotel franchise. Edit: I paid in advanced for this stay, and now I’ve noticed they DOUBLE CHARGED me for it. Guest help with Hilton corporate office have tried to help but this hotel won’t even answer the phone for them and they will not respond to corporate or my emails. What a complete joke of a hotel and owner. They should have the name and franchise stripped from the building. The employees at the front desk were friendly, but after that it was a joke. The room is very run down, everything is stained or damaged. Soap was empty, tissue box in bathroom was empty. Asked for 2 towels at front and they were not sure if they had any and it took a while for her to find them. How does a hotel not have enough towels to take a freaking shower….. breakfast area was constantly out of a bunch of items and not cleaned with counters covered in juice. Our hotel room door had to be pushed/pulled with force to even get closed. and the “100” deposit charge actually showed up as a double charge for the entire stay. This was a cheap shitty hotel charging good prices pretending to be a Hampton/hilton.
This review would have never happened until I encountered Katrina at the front desk on a late Saturday evening. On Valentine’s Day, the hotel was oversold and she handled guests with patience, kindness, professionalism and generosity. I wanted to make sure she was acknowledged being extraordinary and providing outstanding service despite challenging circumstances.
Idk where to start! It’s my mom’s 70th and she flew in from Fl, this property won our hearts! Especially the super star at the desk Michael! This young man went above and beyond to make us feel not only welcome but he didn’t hesitate to accommodate with positive good vibes and helped with any questions or concerns. Although I don’t recall any concerns ? this location earned a for life guest! Great job with your staff from management (Dante was super as well). Hampton in buckhead is 10/10!! Not to mention Publix in the same plaza HELLO????
This Hampton Inn property fell short of expectations compared to others I've had the pleasure of staying at. The facility appears to be in need of renovation, showing signs of wear. Although the staff was friendly, the room's bedding, while comfortable, was somewhat outdated and exhibited minor stains and tears. However, my primary concern was the presence of mold in the bathroom, with visible spots on the ceiling and significant mold growth on the bathroom vent, which raises serious health concerns and suggests a lapse in housekeeping standards.
They do not care about guests experience. Stayed for 5 nights and asked them toclean our rooms at least one during the stay of 5 nights - they didn't get it cleaned even once after repeated requests even though as per their policy is supposed to be cleaned every other day. Staff lies to your face every single time. Overall dirty bedding and from. another issue is there's construction right in front. Do not recommend.
Older hotel, coffee stains in carpets, several machines like the ice machine broken, and our room didn’t seem to be fully cleaned - crunchy carpets and someone’s bathing suit and some trash left on the floor. But staff is pleasant, night was quiet, bed was very comfy, and the parking garage under the hotel was very convenient.
