The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Buckhead receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location and friendly staff, while others report cleanliness issues, outdated rooms, and problems with hotel services. Recent reviews highlight bedbug incidents and parking fees as significant concerns.
My family and I stayed here for a volleyball tournament the weekend of May 1-3. Our day started off pleasant as the front desk host was very nice and accommodating while checking us in. The rooms are older rooms and need A severe remodel. The next morning, we woke up and found bedbugs in our room. I notified the front desk and we were moved to a different room. Later that evening once we retired from the tournament only to find the shower not working in room 710. Then at 11:30 PM we were moved to room 314 finally able to settle down for the night. During this time, I was told that the manager would reach out and contact me in regards to the issues we were having in room 405 With bedbugs. No one ever reached out. I had to reach out to the hotel on Monday morning, only for the manager to state that there was no evidence of bed books found in our room. My family and I had already planned to pay for our stay at this hotel or any other hotel we would’ve stayed at this weekend. My issue is with the communication of the staff and manager that never reached out to discuss the issue.
I recently started at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta in Buckhead and it was such a great experience from start to finish. One of the first things I notice is service; it was impeccable. Every interaction felt intentional, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The staff was attentive without being overbearing, always ready to assist with anything I needed. The rooms were well-maintained, which made it easy to relax and feel comfortable after a long day out exploring Atlanta. Everything felt fresh and organized. A special shoutout to Keith at the front desk, he absolutely stood out! He was kind, personable, and incredibly informative. He took the time to walk me through Marriott perks and gave excellent recommendations on things to do around the Buckhead area, which really elevated my stay. It’s those personal touches that make a hotel experience memorable. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta. Between the cleanliness, attentive staff, and standout service, it’s definitely a place I would return to.I recently started at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta in Buckhead and it was such a great experience from start to finish.
You have to pay additional to use their parking garage. The surrounding area is currently undergoing construction. The indoor pool was over chlorinated and they did not keep clean towels in stock. The pool was also 4ft deep and very small. Highlights: The breakfast area was top-notch! Spacious and different seating styles were available to accommodate their guests. The breakfast area was clean!! They use their space so efficiently. Staff was available and attentive; constantly fretting over the food and there to help guests as needed. The food differed day to day (which we liked). The rooms were mediocre. They were small but had everything we needed (fridge, two sinks, microwave, desk, couch, two closets, a/c, iron and ironing board, blow dryer). Very quiet! ? we slept well.
I recently stayed at the SpringHill Suites Atlanta Buckhead. During check-in, I was handed a parking ticket and instructed to place it in my vehicle, but I was not verbally informed that doing so would incur a $33 per day parking charge. The $66 total charge was later deducted from my security deposit. Had the fee been disclosed at check-in, I would have had the opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to use the parking facility. The property manager Keith was cold and callous and refused to acknowledge the mistake on the part of his staff at all until pressed by a complaint and even while admitting the fee wasn’t communicated at check-in, refused to consider a refund. It’s hard to believe they don’t know exactly what they’re doing by taking the fee out of your deposit on the back end rather than disclosing it and taking payment for parking at check in like any reputable hotel. That sort of practice is already shady enough that the fee should be clearly communicated at every check-in just for the sake of doing decent business. In addition, the hotel itself is badly in need of repair and renovation. The toilet clogged twice from normal use and someone came with a plunger rather then being offered a new room and the second time no one came at all. The furniture is old and even in the lobby where most hotels try to keep things pristine, the chairs are old and peeling. The room itself was dirty and neglected with stains on the sofa and a phone that hadn’t been cleaned ever. Cracks in the sink, stains in carpet —a gross feel to the rooms. It’s run-down and not worth the price and with the parking situation it’s not even worth the location.
The rooms are a bit worn down but the location is perfect. Charisma at the front desk, as well as the rest of the staff were great! I am a bit frazzled when I travel and her humor put me at ease. She was also extremely helpful with tips for the area.
Stayed here while on a business trip. Knowing how much my company paid for this, I cannot recommend. Only thing going for it is the location. Service was great, but you can expect that level of service from any hotel in this category. Rooms were just old. Layout was weird. They had tiny windows, poor lighting, a closet at the diametrically opposite corner of the room from the entry door, popcorn walls, carpet trim on the walls and worst of all, the windows let in a lot of outside noise. I couldn't tell if my neighbors were being loud or if it was city noise, but I could not sleep at night. They did provide a couple hot items for breakfast but it was also very lackluster. Gym was tiny but adequate, pool looked like it was neglected for years. They also charge $30 a night for parking.
The staff was really nice, attentive, and honest. They accommodated a double queen bedroom for us on Friday at 2 AM, which I really appreciated. When I called the next day asking if there was a gym, the front desk guy, David, was very honest — which I love, because I don’t like fake expectations. He said it is a fitness area, not a full gym. The breakfast was good, the typical hotel breakfast. The hotel is not brand new or fully remodeled, but the bedrooms, bathroom, and the whole property were very clean. And the price was inexpensive. So yes, I would recommend it if you’re just going to sleep. I went for work with my family and we were okay.
Shout out to the breakfast morning crew, such happy and welcoming people. Great morning energy and very kind service. We arrived at SpringHill Suites late at night on 02/16/2026. Unfortunately, our check-in experience with one front desk associate was very disappointing. She assisted us after we parked, but her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional. There was one bad interaction after another, about four times, until I finally expressed how upsetting the experience was. There was no warmth, hospitality, or basic courtesy, which is essential in the hotel industry. If it hadn’t been so late, I honestly would have requested a refund and gone elsewhere. On the positive side, the gentleman at the front desk was polite, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. His service reflected the level of hospitality guests expect. I hope management addresses customer service consistency, because one negative interaction can impact the entire guest experience.
The hotel is more for business guests that will go to sleep and have breakfast or for people who would only need a room. I choose it because they had an indoor pools and they over pass my expectations. The gym and pool are good if you want to exercise or would like to have a quiet time. The best part it was when I heard breakfast was included (that's something I wasn't expecting but I enjoyed, more the orange juice which was natural). The only thing I would like to recap is the check in process. When I get to the hotel the front office was empty so I sat at the lobby until someone came back, no sign was placed at the desk and about 20 minutes after waiting another guest just told me they have a small room at the front where they sit when they don't have guest. They should put a sign or something to inform the brand new guest do they don't have to wait. Also, they have a mini store where you can buy water, food, chips, etc, which is really convenient. The hotel is about 9 minutes walking from the Marta station
Hotel is not up to the Marriott name. All furnishings in lobby and rooms was very worn and dirty. Hotel needs a complete remodel, deep cleaning and new furniture. The "suite" rooms are very tiny. It was difficult to even get into the rooms with the luggage cart. There was a small set of drawers in between the bedroom and living area with the one tv for the room, that made it difficult to go between the "rooms". It is very close to a busy road so expect road noise. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the free breakfast on the weekend was good with plenty of hot and cold options. Attaching a picture with the state of the furniture in the lobby/breakfast area.
