Element Atlanta Midtown offers a modern stay in the heart of Midtown, frequently praised for its convenient location and breakfast service. While many guests appreciate the friendly staff and comfortable rooms, some have experienced issues with housekeeping and varying service levels at the front desk.
I had a wonderful stay at Element by Marriott Atlanta Midtown, and one of the highlights was the breakfast service that came with our room. Kyle was absolutely fantastic, always greeting everyone with a smile and bringing such an incredible personality to the morning. His service was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the experience feel special. It’s rare to come across someone who can make a hotel breakfast feel so welcoming, but Kyle did exactly that. Great stay overall, and Kyle With A Smile deserves major recognition!
Staying here for 1 week. The lobby is on the 2nd floor. Its very nice and the breakfast is super yummy. Every day they have a station for made to order eggs and sometimes something sweet like crepes. Excellent service from the breakfast staff. The rooms are ok. The floors look disgusting. They look and feel so dirty. Additionally the couches are stained, but that's normal I guess for hotels. The kitchenette area is nice. Nice plates. Filtered water. And a big fridge. I ordered extra towels a couple times and they arrived pretty fast. Here's where I am annoyed. I called for housekeeping the day before I wanted it. The lady at the reception said yes absolutely I'll get it scheduled. She asked me for a time. We agreed at 11am. I planned my day to leave for that time to allow them to come into my room and freshen things up. I came back 2 hours later to the room not touched. Ok fine, maybe they're running late. I called the front desk and they proceed to gaslight me and tell me I never called in for housekeeping. That they are prioritizing getting other rooms ready for check in and that they already came earlier the week. (Which is not true) She said I wouldnt be getting housekeeping because I am checking out soon. What? I am here for another 3 days and i havent had housekeeping once...How is this ok? Just straight up lying to me and making things up. Fine, prioritze your new check ins, but dont agree on a time, then not show up and proceed to LIE to me about the entire thing. Just fix the problem and don't get upset or blame ME for your mess up. The housekeeping staff is all wonderful. But the way reception handled it was bad.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The room#1221 was clean and commodious with a great view. The first morning I was greeted by Kyle Duarte down at the breakfast room with a big happy smile. He really knows how to make your quests fill welcome and appreciated. When I told him that I have 2 Jack Russell terriers, he said his boss calls him Jack Russell because he has so much energy. His boss was correct because Kyle was really moving around and going out of his way to please your customers. We visit Atlanta often to see our son and will definitely stay with you again especially if we continue to be so well. The coffee was delicious! There is a really good restaurant across the street called PDH if you prefer fresh cracked eggs for breakfast.
Very well appointed hotel in the heart of Midtown. This hotel is attached to the Courtyard by Marriott, but it’s a little odd the first time coming in to find the front desk and lobby, as it does not have any frontage to the street. (It’s on the second floor.) Staff is professional and friendly. Particularly I have enjoyed meeting Kyle who works the breakfast time shift in the restaurant. He literally makes me smile! He is friendly and diligent and takes his customer service job very seriously. I love meeting employees that go above and beyond. Entire staff has been excellent.
When I booked this hotel, I was a little nervous because I had not seen the name before, but because of the reviews I gave it a shot. I was more concerned when I learned that I needed to go to the 2nd floor to check-in, but I must say, this hotel is a hidden gem, that’s not so hidden. From the moment I stepped off the elevator, the sweet aroma, and modern decor was welcoming, but what made this stay review worthy is the STAFF. First, I’d like to start with Starr G….SHE IS GOLDEN. She had such a sweet, patient, and kind spirit. The guests in front of me were international travelers, and one had a lot of questions so there was a slight wait, but I didn’t mind. She explained everything to them so thoroughly that it clarified things for me as well. Starr was also very helpful in giving us options for dinner, and it was a 10/10. :) Her SMILE and top tier customer service is admirable. The next morning, we made it down for breakfast just in time for Chef Juan to make our pancakes. He, too, was kind and courteous. Lastly, Kyke D., AKA “KYLE WITH THE SMILE” solidified my reason to write this review. Even though we were still eating right before it was time break down the line, Kyle asked if we had any dishes we’d like for him to get out of our way, and later proceeded to tell us that we could leave the others and he would get them. We didn’t feel rushed at all. His smile and laughter is is what stood out the most. It’s always great to have a hot shower and clean, comfy room, but when the STAFF loves what they do, it shows. They’ve definitely made me feel as though I’d always want to come back there when I visit Atlanta. KEEP SMILING!
We had such a great stay! The best part of our stay was breakfast! Kyle Duarte made it an experience! What a ray of sunshine! Whatever he is being paid, it’s not enough! Claudio in the restaurant downstairs was amazing as well! The both of them made our stay so much better! Thank you!
Our group had a great stay at Element. The process to make our group reservation was super easy, and we wanted to give a special thank you to Ryan at the front desk! He was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were very nice, and the breakfast had a good selection. Overall amazing experience!
My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend, and we had such a great experience! From the moment we arrived, Jercy at the front desk made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful—she answered all of our questions and even gave us great insight and suggestions on fun activities to do while visiting Atlanta. Her positive attitude really set the tone for our stay. The hotel itself was very nice and extremely clean. Every staff member we interacted with was super friendly and helpful. One of the highlights was the breakfast area—they actually have a chef, which was really cool! The breakfast was healthy, fresh, and served hot, which we really appreciated. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi, a nice parking garage, and a TV, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, this was a wonderful stay, and Jercy truly stood out with her excellent customer service. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting ATL!
Kyle “with a Smile” in the dining room is phenomenal!! Courteous, friendly, hard working, accommodating. The staff at check in were great! The woman at the desk in the morning seemed annoyed that I asked her a question, less than friendly. The room was very clean (except the coffee pot needed to be de-scaled, rm 1209, would not make coffee in that pot). Breakfast was good, egg white frittata was delicious, coffee very tasty, yogurt and toppings yummy. Great spot for seeing a show at the Fox and nearby restaurants. Will be back!
Overall horrible stay… First thing first I was never offered if I wanted my points or a welcome amenity. I was never thanked nor greeted for my platinum elite status. The check-in agent was not friendly nor seem very happy to be at work , I felt like I was bothering him. At checking I was not giving no information on the hotel nor breakfast hours, just my keys that’s it… I was charge numerous times for room service that I never even had . I would say the only enjoyable thing was my checkout agent Jersey she was very friendly , well mannered and overall a great employee…. This was also a special weekend for me and this stay definitely put a damper on things .. Oh how can I forget Kyle was so friendly and welcoming.
