This Westin Atlanta Airport offers a convenient airport location but suffers from inconsistent housekeeping and significant staff training issues, particularly regarding maintenance protocols. Guests consistently praise the dedicated front desk and restaurant teams, though they frequently complain about the outdated facilities and poor payout transparency.
I had an extended stay at this Westin location recently. The beds are lovely, of course. It’s everything else that needs some TLC: 1. Be prepared to wait 30min-1hr at airport pickup. Shuttle only runs every 30 minutes and fills up very fast so prepare to show up early. 2. The hotel bar/restaurant is dismal. Overpriced for the quality and service is extremely slow. DoorDash is faster and more reliable. Hot tip: walk across the street to the Marriott for better food and drinks. Their staff will even bring you back on a golf cart when you’re finished. 3. The outlets in the room are really worn down and the TV remotes are nearly impossible to use at times. 4. The pool has been closed for months but you won’t see that anywhere on the website. 5. The coffee shop is decent! The staff are mostly very friendly but the hotel seems operationally challenged.
Absolutely outstanding service! We arrived at the restaurant for dinner after checking in (smoothe & seamless check in also). The restaurant was packed & short staffed, but their attentiveness & communication was above & beyond! They sat us & our waiter Stefiyan made us feel cared about & important even though he was clearly very busy! The manager, Thomas was absolutely spectacular as well! He took time to make sure everything was wonderful ?? two thumbs up for these two, this Hotel, restaurant & staff! We have found our new go to stay in Atlanta!!! And the New York cheesecake is a MUST TRY!! We weren't going to get desert, however we ended up with it... OMG ?mmmm Thank you indeed!! What a great experience ?
The room and service has been great, however, we specifically booked this hotel because of the pool to start off our vacation for our 4 year old before we fly out tomorrow. We arrived, got down to the pool and it was closed for “a refresh”. We understand that this is not controllable, however, it is listed absolutely nowhere on the website or in the booking information. Had this been communicated ahead of time, we could have booked a different hotel with a functioning pool. We have an extremely disappointed 4 year old who had been looking forward to coming to the hotel to swim all week. Really disappointed.
When I first arrived I checked in and went to my room. It was a king suite very nice room. I noticed something crawling on the curtains on the windows. Got closer and it was dead lady bugs all across the floor and some crawling in the window as well as flying around the room. Notified the front desk of the situation and he rectified the situation and gave me another room. Although it wasn’t a suite it was still a very nice room. It was my birthday so they left me a card and a cupcake in my room which was very nice and unexpected. Temperature in the hotel was warm. That night I took a shower and noticed red lipstick smeared on the walls. Not sure when construction was done at the facility but you could still see the pencil marks of the tile size on the wall in the shower. Which let me know they don’t wipe down the shower walls. Notified the front desk about the lipstick he advised he would get it taken care of. Came back from training that evening and sure enough it wasn’t taken care of. Location was good it was close to the airport. Before training I asked the shuttle driver if he went to the Delta campus he told me no. So I caught an uber sure enough they did go to the campus so I paid for an Uber for no reason.
The room was nice only a couple of small flaws which is why it wasn’t 5 stars. When I checked in they upgraded my room usually this would be awesome and super exciting. However this time I was thrown off we requested two queen beds because we have four people traveling but the upgrade gave us one king beds. Once again super grateful and the upgrade was really nice. The room was huge with two TVs and a sectional sofa in it. There was plenty of desk, alternate seating, mini fridge and coffee maker. The location is close to the airport. There is not much in the ways of traditional restaurants in the area but there are some great smaller places near that sell good food. The bar area was great for all of the people who were up for the night life. People dressed all the way up. The other fun thing was the show Love is Blind was filming their reunion while we were there. The staff were nice and they were efficient. All in all great experience. Paying for parking at $18 per day wasn’t fun but oh well.
The service at the hotel was top tier from the front desk attendance Devesh, to the manager Thomas and all the way to Mesut at the bar! Wow, thank you for giving my sister and I a pleasant stay and truly thoughtful. Also the young man who did valet, I cant remember his name at the moment but l Iightskin with beard and great personality was wonderful. Thank you Thank You!! Many hugs and love and see you next time!!
Remote didn't work, hair that wasn't ours in the folded towel, no hot water. We went for cheer competition and the hotel was fully booked, but yet they only had 2 registers open. The check in line was a 45 minute wait. The woman that helped was very friendly though and handling the crowd and chaos beautifully.
The Westin Atlanta Airport is one of the very best hotels we have ever stayed at. The room was superb and immaculately clean, the restaurant was excellent, and the staff was amazing. Each staff member we encountered went well beyond providing good service. They all provided the very best service possible. We will revisit this fine hotel any time we are staying in Atlanta.
Just a hand full of hotels can combine convenient location, business oriented atmosphere, affordable/delicious restaurant/bar (drinks/food) and great customer service. Rooms are clean and well equipped for a business or family trip. All personnel were very professional, specially Dedos who was eager to go beyond his front desk duties to deliver a wonderful quality service for our 200+ guests. We will be back for sure. A+
2nd time staying at this property. Front desk service is not the best, when I checked in the person at the desk wasn’t very friendly and didn’t have information about the parking situation. Love the big screen by the lobby, great for football games, we decided to grab a bite and the people at the restaurant were super nice and friendly, they gave us a really good service; Rooms are nice and in good conditions, loved the lavender oil that they give you. In the morning we had breakfast buffet which was good and has a really good service in there as well.
