This was a great option for a free airport shuttle. The room itself wasn’t great. My friends rooms was a bit better- mine had hair all over the bathroom, the bed comforter had stains on it and the duvet cover was ripped up, and there was garbage thrown on the floor that was never picked up. Cleaning crew isn’t great. The mirror in the room was all taped up too. My friends room had no body wash. Bed was comfortable but wouldn’t stay again.

My experience at Sonesta South was fine at first. The hotel itself was decent, and everything seemed to be going smoothly — until we went to dinner. While waiting for our food at the pickup station, we witnessed something completely unacceptable. A heavyset woman with glasses, who identified herself as a supervisor when we asked who she was, was standing at the pickup area eating directly from our order. She was eating our food. We could clearly hear her speaking with the kitchen staff, and she even said, Don't say nothing Despite being caught, she still brought the same food out to us. We chose not to eat the fries and didn’t cause a scene, but the situation was extremely unprofessional and unsanitary. It completely ruined our dining experience. Because of this incident alone, we will not be returning. This level of behavior from someone in a supervisory position is unacceptable. 2-22-2026

The room was nice and it was very close to the airport. We only stayed for s free hours because of a long layover. The breakfast service was slow and want the best, but I don't think that should take away any stars because we didn't get the chance to try other things. I could not find the shuttle schedule and we waited for about an hour and midnight to get to our hotel.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now, and both visits have been consistently impressive. The property has several standout features. The pool and spa area is especially relaxing — a quiet spot to unwind after a long day. The on?site Burger Place restaurant is surprisingly good, offering hearty, flavorful meals without needing to leave the hotel. I also really enjoyed the executive level on the top floor, which adds a more elevated, private feel to the stay. The rooms themselves look freshly renovated, with modern finishes and a clean, comfortable layout. Getting to and from the airport couldn’t be easier. The shuttle runs every 30 minutes, and both times it was punctual and convenient, which took a lot of stress out of travel days. My most recent stay was under $100 for a night, and the hotel felt calm and uncrowded during the midweek. They even let me check in early at no extra charge, and the front desk agent was genuinely courteous and welcoming — a small gesture that made a big difference. Overall, it’s a great value and an easy place to feel comfortable. I’d happily stay here again. A+

My stay was paid for by Delta since I missed my connecting flight due to delays. Check in last night was simple and quick with a friendly front desk attendant. It was the quickest check in I’ve had at a hotel—probably the best part of the stay. The room was ok and the bed was comfortable. The lobby and bathroom in the lobby definitely need a bit of work and updating—womens bathroom doors didn’t lock!! Breakfast was good with a decent menu. The following day, my flight was not until 5. I forgot to ask for a late checkout. Promptly at 11:00am housekeeping was at my door asking me why I was still in there. Called down for a late checkout which was only offered until noon. Less than 30 minutes later a call from the front desk harassing me to check out again when I had already called for late checkout! Checked out at noon and was asked if I was catching the shuttle—ummm…not at noon for a 5:30pm flight—I had planned to work for a bit. Told the lady that I would just hang out in the lobby until I was ready to go and was given a dirty look and advised that the shuttle runs every 30 minutes—shuttles were prompt and the drivers were courteous. The hotel was basically empty—literally saw 1 person check in the entire time I waited in the lobby and 0 other people walking around the hotel other than staff who made it a point to sit at the front desk and talk to each other. Even heard the rude demeanor of the front desk attendant on the phone with a customer who called to ask a question. No accommodations by the staff were attempted to be made. Overall lacking in guest services!!

Jan 26, 2026, After having our connecting flight home from Mexico canceled. We stayed at the Sonesta Atlanta Airport South. Our shuttle driver that night Quinten drove us to the hotel and greeted us with such a great positive vibe. He made everyone laugh and although we were all stranded we left the shuttle with a lighter heart. Thank you Sonesta for a great stay.

The hotel is reasonable and located close to the airport. It’s my second time using it during ice storms. The shuttle driver Quintin was very knowledgeable and personable during a time I was not my happiest seriously appreciate gentleman like him for working in hash conditions

My daughter and I stayed here a week ago. The young lady at the front desk was very help and informative. This location was very convenient to the ATLANTA AIRPORT. The young lady at the front desk assisted me with the WAYS website that allowed me to leave my car parked there and shuttle to the airport; what a convenience. Very much satisfied with my stay.

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had, and I would strongly advise others to stay elsewhere. We were forced to change rooms due to excessive noise, which disrupted our stay entirely. Despite this inconvenience, there was no meaningful attempt to accommodate us, and the situation only escalated from there. On top of that, our vehicle was broken into while parked on the property, resulting in stolen items. While I understand hotels may try to disclaim responsibility, the lack of concern, urgency, or support from staff was unacceptable. No empathy, no guidance, no accountability. To make matters worse, we were harassed to check out, rather than treated like paying guests dealing with legitimate issues. There was no room service available at all, despite it being advertised, which further highlights how mismanaged this property is. The most frustrating part was the behavior of the General Manager, Harris Strapp. Instead of addressing our situation, she prioritized conducting an interview over assisting us, refused to offer a refund or reasonable compensation, and showed a complete lack of professionalism and customer care. This hotel demonstrates poor management, zero hospitality standards, and no concern for guest safety or experience. If you value peace, security, or basic respect as a guest, do not stay here.

NGL I was scared about staying here. Guess what!? It was great! Easy, clean, friendly, and our room was great! Our hall was quiet on the 4th floor. It was so easy to get to the airport. Check in was fast. Overnight parking is secure and free. There was a cheer competition in the area so there was a festive family vibe in the lobby. Great value!
