The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway offers a convenient location near the airport and the Sky Train, making it ideal for travelers. While many guests appreciate the clean rooms, spacious layout, and included breakfast, some have reported issues with temperature control, outdated facilities, and unexpected parking fees. The service is generally positive, with staff often praised for their friendliness and helpfulness.
We checked in at 10:30pm and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They were quick to provide extra sheets and blankets for the trundle bed as well as fix our AC (it was set too cold and we couldn’t seem to adjust from our room - they adjusted on their end and it was perfect). Being so close to the airport, it was very quiet. Beds were pretty comfortable. I think the rate for one night of parking was very high ($47) and I was not expecting that. Also, save your key to exit the parking lot. I had to run back in after turning in my key. But they quickly gave me another one so we could exit. Breakfast was pretty good. Two hot options, cereal, some pastries, fruit - no waffle station like in some Springhill Suites. Overall, would recommend!
I arrived at the hotel around 11pm, nerve frazzled because this was the SECOND hotel Delta set me up with and no time left to try a third one. I spent the last 2 hours going to and fro the first hotel which Delta booked for me without checking room availability. I held my breath until the wonderful front desk Ms. Ramona confirmed that yes, a room was waiting for me. After learning I had not had dinner yet, she quickly informed me of 2 restaurants nearby that close at 11:30pm. Bless her heart! I went up to my room and was very delighted by how NICE it was: a comfy sofa and a desk that meant business. The room was compact but the space was well designed. This was the first time I stayed at Marriott's Spring Hill franchise. I enjoyed the hot breakfast the next morning and rode the sky train across the street to the airport. Awesome location!
Our room was adjacent to the airport via 2 free shuttle rides. The room was very spacious and clean. It even had 2 sinks and a water closet, which is such a nice feature. Would recommend!
A group of 7 stayed here prior to flying out the next morning. The check in process was very quick and efficient. A young lady named Heaven was working the front desk during our check in time. She was excellent!!! She had an amazing attitude, she made the check in process very quick and easy. Our rooms were clean and everything worked as it should in our rooms. The Skytrain is another added benefit. We walked to the skytrain in less than 4 mins from the front door of the motel. We paid for the park and fly option when we booked our room, this is very helpful and affordable when compared to parking rates at the airport or nearby locations.
Service was amazing and the location was great however, there where random stains on the sofa and on the blinds and the thermostat didn't work but, it didn't really matter because the front desk could control it. Overall decent hotel.
I ended up staying here on short notice after my flight was canceled, and rescheduled for the next day. The gentleman who checked us in at night (way too tired to get his name ?) made our entire night sooo much better! The second we walked in he was so warm, welcoming, and sympathetic. He provided us with a toothbrush and toothpaste as the airport had kept our bags. He single handedly turned our whole night around! On top of that, the facility itself is clean, quiet and nice, and the breakfast was one of the best continental breakfasts I've ever had. If you're looking for a room a stone's throw away from ATL i cannot recommend this place enough!
Hotel is a great location but not well maintained. Room was odd layout and had lots of maintenance issues including a very loud HVAC unit that made sleep impossible on a very cold night. Walls were damaged, stained and towels had holes. Elevator was grimy and making loud squealing noises. Housekeeping staff let themselves in the room while we occupied it even with the door locked and So Not Disturb sign on door handle . Parking is $47 per night. Definitely wouldn’t recommend.this hotel .
If you're flying in or out of ATL or on a long layover this is the place to stay. Its right on the tram route and its about a 50 foot walk from the hotel to the tram elevator. The room was really nice and very spacious. Separate toilet room and shower room both with sinks. Very large walk in closet and separate living room. Only negative was the heater/AC unit was above the room door and it didnt seem to heat the entire room consistently. Rest of the hotel was good. Breakfast had everything you needed. The Marriott next door has a nice restaurant/bar and so does the Home2 Suites.
clean rooms.... decent food close by.... quiet place.... parked at atl west night before and walked straight from hotel... maybe 40 ft to elevator to tram... inside airport maybe 10 min after left my hotel room... for an early flight you can not beat this location...
Please find someone with a normal mind to stand in the front desk. I was waiting in line, but the people come behind me shifted the line to the side. Then the lady in the front desk said I wasn’t in line, and made me wait behind everyone. She was so slow with the check in process, and I have to wait for a very long time. I told her what the case is, but she literally ignored me and treated me like air. I feel being rudely insulted. I will never come back to this property.
