Chateau Elan receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the beautiful grounds, friendly staff, and overall atmosphere, particularly the spa and certain restaurants. However, numerous complaints highlight issues with inconsistent service, cleanliness problems (particularly in rooms and bathrooms), high prices, food quality, and billing errors. Recent reviews suggest a decline in the overall experience, with concerns about communication and a lack of responsiveness to guest issues.

"Resort" is a stretch. This is a nice hotel at best. However, giving them 1 star rating due to dining. You guys need to get better quality ingredients, simple as that. No matter where we ate, everything was either not fresh or cooked too long or seasoned too much. The staff was OK but if you want to call yourself a resort, you will need better training for them. Example: brunch omelette station guy at Versailles had very inappropriate interaction with female guests while scowling at any male guest, while also making inappropriate jokes with a fellow employee. Ordered in room dining and two orders of the steak frites used bad meat. The burger actually made my wife sick. The point is, I will never come to this place willingly, but because it's the only nicer place in the area, once year I'll be forced to stay here due to a kids event. Really hope by next time you can button things up, and I will be willing to update my review. Fingers crossed.

I visited this location for the first time over Valentines weekend. I did not stay overnight so I cannot specifically comment on the inn/hotel rooms, but I did do a wine tasting, and the restrooms were absolutely disgusting. There was paper & trash all over the floors, some of the toilets had poop in them, some most of the toilets had pee all over them. There was barely any toilet paper in the stalls. I told the person who checked us out for the wine tasting that the bathroom needed attention and she said she knew already and that she had already alerted someone. I went back maybe an hour later to use the restroom again and it was exactly the same. I had to grab the last little bit of toilet paper out of a different stall to use the cleanest stall that was available. About an hour later I went back to ask about ordering some food and she said that the chef was out and there was no food available on that particular day. She mentioned that the chef should be arriving soon or I had just arrived and that she didn’t know how long it would be before food would be available. I will probably never visit again. I have only heard great things about Château Elan, but that was definitely not a great first experience. In hindsight, I wish that I would’ve taken some photos of the bathroom because it was completely unacceptable for a venue of such assumed high standard.

I stayed at Château Élan Winery & Resort to celebrate my 34th birthday and had an great experience! The service was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was comfortable, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The spa was wonderful—the amenities that came with it really elevated the experience. The food was also very good and added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. I would definitely recommend Château Élan for a self-care or anniversary getaway or a fun and relaxing girls’ trip. I can’t wait to come back!

My best friend went on an 8 location winery and THIS was the only winery she wanted to revisit!!!! Since we’re visiting from The Bay Area of California, we wanted to see what wineries Georgia had to offer. Turns out, Georgia can only grow this particular sweet grape for moscatos. All of their wines were from Napa, California! Hahaha no wonder my best from LOVED this place! They have a GREAT deal on a tasting of 6 wines for a fox price! We loved 2 of the wines so much, we got the bottles. (I’ll add what we bought later). The service was GREAT! Each employee knew about the wine’s origins and well as their notes and things to pair each wine with. The environment was very spacious, but come early- if you want a place to sit! Around 5p all the booths were taken and people were left with standing room only! I would definitely recommend this place to come back!

Minutes from Atlanta I-85 quick convenient get away. Check in included flutes of champagne really good customer service. Did the tour, wine tasting and several on site restaurants. Having Breakfast delivered ( room service) was expensive but no complaints. Convenience comes at a price.

We stayed two nights at the Spa center (over $500 per night) and another two nights at the main building previously. The quality of the room and overall experience did not match the price they charge. The towels had strong unpleasant odor smell. The beddings in the rooms were very rough. They only had two types of pillows and both were too firm. The food at the restaurants at the winery was either too sweet or too salty. You can’t really taste the flavor of the ingredients themselves. They gave people rooms that were right next to their construction sites. So it was extremely loud and noisy during the day. The internet was also extremely slow and unstable. The location of the trail is quite dangerous. It’s in the middle of a golf course, and someone almost hit us. Wouldn’t recommend this place after two different stays. You can get much better experience with this price at other resorts.

I surprised my partner with an anniversary trip and our experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The entire process from initial booking to checkout was seamless. The staff were all helpful, knowledgeable, and gregarious. The food was amazing at each restaurant and the staff even helped me to arrange a proposal during our last night's dinner! I wanted to ensure I mentioned the staff that helped make our visit that more special: Ariel at the Winery, Matthew at Marc Bar and Linda, Jan, & Lexie from the spa. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful 16th anniversary here. It is definitely a pricy place but has beautiful surroundings. The on-site restaurants and spa and pricy as well. The staff was awesome. Everyone greeted you and made sure you were taken care of. Namely, Lonnie at Valet, Stacy, Virginia, and Tia the Front Desk. Most outstanding for us was Darius. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was memorable. Thanks to the entire team there!

Overall, we had a good trip here! But we ran into several issues that just added stress into our trip. When we got to our room, the water was not running at all. Not sure if maybe they shut down the pipes during the slow season so they don't freeze, but we called and it was fixed. But when it came on, the water was dark, murky brown. Not the type of thing you want to see at a nice place. We went downstairs and were just told to leave it running while we went to our wine tasting. I found it rather odd that really nothing was done to try and remedy that situation or make it up to us, because it was deeply alarming and gross. The receptionists we spoke to were extremely kind, so I don't blame them if things like that are out of their hands. I know now that my partner had brought me there to propose, and he ran into so many issues with the "proposal coordinator" ahead of our stay and during. Staff seemed to have no communication with each other, and the proposal coordinator ignored our emails for several days. (We were told she was off, but the days she was off was nearly every day?) It came off very passive aggressive and unprofessional. Almost all the staff we met were wonderful, we did have a rude experience with a staff member at the spa, who was very dismissive and rude to my fiancé. I felt as though some of the staff didn't take us seriously since we are both tattooed people, as were our friends that joined us, and therefore don't fit the target demographic. It felt like they assumed we were poor and treated us as such. Otherwise, the grounds were beautiful. It was very empty during our stay so no very quiet and peaceful. Our meal at Versailles was amazing and the bartenders in the winery were awesome! I don't think I'd return here due to all the issues we ran into, but I'm chalking up most of it to it being a slow season.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the exceptional customer service we experienced during our stay at Chateau Élan in Georgia. Every staff member we encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely kind, which truly made us feel welcomed and cared for. That said, we were unfortunately disappointed with several aspects of our accommodations that fell short of what we expected from a luxury resort. The cleanliness of the rooms was not at the standard we anticipated, the TVs in our rooms were not working properly, and we were charged for minibar items in one of the children’s rooms that were never touched. Additionally, there was no housekeeping service provided during our two-night stay. We booked three rooms and spent over $2,500 for a two-night stay, yet the overall experience did not feel reflective of a luxury property at that price point. While the grounds are absolutely beautiful and aesthetically stunning, the interiors of the rooms are in need of noticeable upgrades and attention to detail. We truly wanted to love this stay and appreciate the outstanding staff, but due to these issues, we are uncertain if we would choose to return. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended—as an opportunity to improve an otherwise promising experience.
