Chateau Elan receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its beautiful grounds and luxurious amenities, particularly the spa and wine selection. However, consistent concerns arise regarding inconsistent service, unexpected fees, and issues with room cleanliness and outdated facilities, especially given the resort's price point. Recent complaints highlight problems like food quality, staff responsiveness, and billing errors, suggesting a need for improved operational standards and guest experience management.

I wanted to love this stay and a few staff members (shoutout to Virginia) genuinely tried to make it great. But for the price Chateau Elan charges, the overall experience fell well short of what guests should expect. Pool: Closed for the day after 20 minutes of rain even though the sun was back out by 2:40 PM, well within the posted 6 PM closing time. No pool music, no cleaning, no amenities functioning without guests having to ask. When I needed to feed my child poolside, I was sent to room service which only offered steak, sea bass, and salad. For a family at a resort pool, that's simply not a workable option. Dining: I called the front desk to find family-friendly dinner options and was told Versailles did not require a reservation. I arrived with my child and was turned away. No apology, no alternative offered on the spot. We found Patties on our own wonderful experience there but that's not how guests should have to spend their evening at a luxury resort. The bigger issue: At this price point, guests should not have to chase down basic amenities, be misled about reservations, or go hungry because the pool restaurant is closed on Mondays or after a brief rain shower. Outside food and drinks are not permitted so what exactly are guests supposed to do? Some staff work hard to hold this place together. The resort itself does not support them. I will not be returning for an over

????? We had a wonderful time at Château Élan. The property is beautiful, the wines were excellent, and the entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and shared a great deal of information about the winery, the property, and the wine-making process. She also added her own insights and stories, which made the tour feel personal and memorable. We visited as part of a birthday celebration, and it made for a perfect day. Highly recommend the Tour & Tasting experience, and we look forward to returning.

I stayed here for two days and one night on a work retreat. I wouldn't have stayed here if I didn't have to. While the grounds were pretty, the entire ambiance felt cold and sterile. Not much personality or character to the hotel, restaurants, conference area, spa, or pool. The pool area was eerily quiet, and boring. I got side-eye when I had the nerve to actually take a dip in the pool, when everyone else was just sunbathing. Also, don't expect any food or drink service poolside if you're going during the week. While it did feel slightly upscale, everything felt generic in its "French" theming. The food catered to the conference room was fine, though you'd think they would have at least ONE gluten-free dessert option available. I did give 3 stars because I enjoyed the nature trail, as well as the large bed in the room. Several of my colleagues and I noted that they didn't offer hand soap in the hotel room bathroom. Are guests not supposed to was their hands? I will also shout out Maria at Versailles who offered excellent customer service at dinner. My steak had a lot of gross fatty pieces and ligaments so it wasn't the most appetizing but I enjoyed my truffle fries. My last critique is that all services are incredibly overpriced. $10 delivery fee for room service, on top of the service charge/gratuity already included? Give me a break...

We stayed for one night on our road trip and the room was beautiful, spacious, quiet, and very well maintained. We ate at Louis’ and the food was excellent. The manager Nicole is a true gem. She truly goes above and beyond. Unfortunately, there were some rude guests at the bar and Nicole handled them with such professionalism we were very impressed. The hotel is very lucky to have a manager like Nicole and we hope they recognize and appreciate her.

"Resort" is a stretch. This is a nice hotel at best. However, giving them 1 star rating due to dining. You guys need to get better quality ingredients, simple as that. No matter where we ate, everything was either not fresh or cooked too long or seasoned too much. The staff was OK but if you want to call yourself a resort, you will need better training for them. Example: brunch omelette station guy at Versailles had very inappropriate interaction with female guests while scowling at any male guest, while also making inappropriate jokes with a fellow employee. Ordered in room dining and two orders of the steak frites used bad meat. The burger actually made my wife sick. The point is, I will never come to this place willingly, but because it's the only nicer place in the area, once year I'll be forced to stay here due to a kids event. Really hope by next time you can button things up, and I will be willing to update my review. Fingers crossed.

I visited this location for the first time over Valentines weekend. I did not stay overnight so I cannot specifically comment on the inn/hotel rooms, but I did do a wine tasting, and the restrooms were absolutely disgusting. There was paper & trash all over the floors, some of the toilets had poop in them, some most of the toilets had pee all over them. There was barely any toilet paper in the stalls. I told the person who checked us out for the wine tasting that the bathroom needed attention and she said she knew already and that she had already alerted someone. I went back maybe an hour later to use the restroom again and it was exactly the same. I had to grab the last little bit of toilet paper out of a different stall to use the cleanest stall that was available. About an hour later I went back to ask about ordering some food and she said that the chef was out and there was no food available on that particular day. She mentioned that the chef should be arriving soon or I had just arrived and that she didn’t know how long it would be before food would be available. I will probably never visit again. I have only heard great things about Château Elan, but that was definitely not a great first experience. In hindsight, I wish that I would’ve taken some photos of the bathroom because it was completely unacceptable for a venue of such assumed high standard.

I stayed at Château Élan Winery & Resort to celebrate my 34th birthday and had an great experience! The service was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my stay. My room was comfortable, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The spa was wonderful—the amenities that came with it really elevated the experience. The food was also very good and added to the overall enjoyment of the trip. I would definitely recommend Château Élan for a self-care or anniversary getaway or a fun and relaxing girls’ trip. I can’t wait to come back!

My best friend went on an 8 location winery and THIS was the only winery she wanted to revisit!!!! Since we’re visiting from The Bay Area of California, we wanted to see what wineries Georgia had to offer. Turns out, Georgia can only grow this particular sweet grape for moscatos. All of their wines were from Napa, California! Hahaha no wonder my best from LOVED this place! They have a GREAT deal on a tasting of 6 wines for a fox price! We loved 2 of the wines so much, we got the bottles. (I’ll add what we bought later). The service was GREAT! Each employee knew about the wine’s origins and well as their notes and things to pair each wine with. The environment was very spacious, but come early- if you want a place to sit! Around 5p all the booths were taken and people were left with standing room only! I would definitely recommend this place to come back!

Minutes from Atlanta I-85 quick convenient get away. Check in included flutes of champagne really good customer service. Did the tour, wine tasting and several on site restaurants. Having Breakfast delivered ( room service) was expensive but no complaints. Convenience comes at a price.

We stayed two nights at the Spa center (over $500 per night) and another two nights at the main building previously. The quality of the room and overall experience did not match the price they charge. The towels had strong unpleasant odor smell. The beddings in the rooms were very rough. They only had two types of pillows and both were too firm. The food at the restaurants at the winery was either too sweet or too salty. You can’t really taste the flavor of the ingredients themselves. They gave people rooms that were right next to their construction sites. So it was extremely loud and noisy during the day. The internet was also extremely slow and unstable. The location of the trail is quite dangerous. It’s in the middle of a golf course, and someone almost hit us. Wouldn’t recommend this place after two different stays. You can get much better experience with this price at other resorts.
