La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Airport North offers convenient airport shuttle service and a generally quiet atmosphere, particularly during evenings. However, guests have reported issues with room cleanliness, noisy neighbors, and inconsistent shuttle schedules, along with parking fees and breakfast quality. Recent reviews highlight a significant decline in hotel maintenance and service standards.
Hobby and Carter made check-in a breeze. Both were very professional and thorough throughout our stay. Even when faced with an unruly “visitor” of another guest, Hobby dealt with him in a professional and firm way bringing credit to his attention to security of paying guests and the property. He continued his efficient multi-tasking skills with demanding guests regardless of the visitors aggressive attitude. Hobby is a great credit to your organization. This man deserves a raise and formal recognition for his professionalism.
Dinah provided top notch customer service. The facilities were clean. For being bottom floor near the airport the rooms were quiet. Plenty of lighting in parking lot. Lots of room. The rooms are clean and well stocked. The only drawback is the breakfast eggs aren't good and there could be more variety of fruits and cold cereal.
I usually only stay at Hilton line hotels, however I got a great package deal for this location along with a car rental. From the moment I checked in, they were nothing but welcoming and professional. The room was clean and the response from staff always prompt! Ms. Karima, Mr. Donald and Mr. Dewand are doing an amazing job. Highly recommend.
Booked this room because their site states there is an international shuttle to the airport. Upon arrival we were informed, rudely I will add, that that is not the case. Only domestic shuttles. No baby beds or anything of the nature, which is odd for hotels considering many people travel with Littles. The room is subpar on cleanliness. There were peanuts on the floor, the sheet wasn't pulled over the mattress completely and there were brown spots, there was hair in the bathroom, and the hallways smell very odd. The fee to park is ridiculous when already paying to stay at the hotel. My biggest issue is the noise from the bar across the street. It is RIDICULOUS. My toddler was kept awake ALL night due to the constant loud music. The bar is a problem. I can hear it clearly in my room. Nobody got any sleep because of it. I am aware that they can't control the bar BUT maybe something could be done. Talk to the owner. EARPLUGS. Give a warning before allowing me to book. It's a Thursday night. No reason for it. Absolutely do NOT stay here.
Great stay!! Check in easy with friendly customer service. Nicely appointed clean rooms with microwave and fridge, nice breakfast and an airport shuttle. Good location close to restaurants and sports bars. This was my first stay, it won't be my last. Please note that the on-site parking fee is $12. Much cheaper than other hotels in the area. Thank u for a great stay!!
My room was not comped by Delta so I chose from what was available and reasonably priced while sitting at the airport. Like many travelers, this was an unexpected overnight layover so I do not have luggage. While I understand it is not the hotel’s fault there is a club across the street, I do think there are things they could do to be proactive. It’s a Monday night, after midnight, and I could hear the DJ which is across the highway while in the shower with multiple doors closed. I understand this is zoned for commercial use but it is unreasonable to play music that loud. I asked for ear plugs to attempt to mitigate the situation but that is not something the hotel provides. Ear plugs are cheap, leave them in all rooms facing the club! They could also always fill rooms with even numbers (opposite side from the club) first. After I complained I was moved to this side and it is much quieter. I also read about tiny pillows in other reviews but didn’t understand. It’s like every single pillow is so flat that instead of replacing, they fold them in half. Staff was friendly and I know they deal with a lot of cranky travelers so I did appreciate that.
Room was clean & comfortable and there was no airport noise. HOWEVER, several guests or airline crews checked in between midnight and 2 am and the rooms/hallways are not soundproofed. We heard every single hall door, bathroom door, dresser drawer slam shut for hours. We couldn't get back to sleep until 3 am. Given that the hotel wasn't full, the front desk should have spaced out the occupied rooms.
? 2 out of 5 stars My experience at the La Quinta started off on a positive note thanks to the staff. The shuttle driver who took us to the airport on November 7th at 5:35 AM was absolutely wonderful—very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who checked us in the evening of November 6th (an elderly man) was also great. Truly, the staff were the best part of the stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself was very disappointing. The moment we entered the room, the smell was overwhelmingly bad—nothing like what you would expect from a hotel. It felt more like a motel. On top of that, we saw a man who looked like a pimp with a young girl, which was disturbing and made us feel unsafe. Sadly, we ended up leaving the hotel the next day and contacted FastHelp Online Travel Concierge, who arranged a verified hotel for us. I mean there were visible stains in the bathroom and on the walls, and overall the property felt neglected. This is such a prime location, so it’s frustrating to see the hotel in this condition. A little investment in cleaning, updating, and maintaining the building would go a long way. Otherwise, the staff members were SUPER friendly!! Would I return? Unfortunately, no. The staff were wonderful, but the condition of the hotel itself needs serious improvement.
Yes, the cleanliness is a big issue here. I brought my own little sheet and small blanket and used those so I didn’t come in contact with their sheets. The iron and iron board was extremely dusty and the hair dryer had hair stuck in it. I am still giving it three stars because for $100 a night what else can you expect? I suggest booking something “nicer” if you expect better, or with this rate, come prepared with little to no expectations. At least the people who worked there were cordial enough and dropped me off through shuttle early in the morning.
I'm working from out of town for 10 days and have to do the night shift from 6 pm to 6 am. I sleep during the day. Your housekeepers are incredibly loud, banging stuff around in the hallway, slamming doors and talking loudly. How can anyone sleep like this? I just now confronted one of them and kindly asked if she could quieten down. I don't think she understood or speaks English because nothing changed. My second complaint is I come in every morning and every single time, my card won't work at the gate. I have to come in and have the lady at the desk reprogram it, even though it works just fine on my door. She said just push the button to call the desk from the gate. That defeats the purpose of using a card and that means you will let anyone in? How is that safe letting anyone in the parking lot that pushes the button? Third complaint, your elevators are out of inspection date for the State of Georgia. See certificate picture. The elevator on the right always stops on the 3rd floor, even though nobody is there to get on and when it stops on the ground floor, it bounces pretty hard. You've got a hydraulic issue and this needs to be looked at ASAP. Other than that, the rooms are great, the breakfast is edible (compared to most hotels) and it's fairly clean. I would recommend staying and coming back for those reasons. Your noisy housekeepers are the biggest complaint. I paid to sleep and not all of your patrons check out in the morning. Show some respect. I'm on the 6th floor by the way and from my username, you can play detective and figure out what room I'm in. Fix this management. I'll be here for another 7 days.
