Recent reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport/Millennium Center consistently highlight significant issues with cleanliness, outdated facilities, and inconsistent service. Guests report problems ranging from dirty rooms with mold and peeling wallpaper to difficulties with shuttle service and unresponsive staff. While some praise the location’s convenience for airport travelers, the overall experience appears to be significantly below expectations for a Hilton property.
Awful experience. The gentleman working at night shift on June 14, 2026 had an awful attitude. Our Delta plane was delayed and he was very unhelpful and was being a smart butt the entire time to everyone that was there whoever his manager is has to talk to this guy and get him in order because what he did was wrong. He did not allow any vouchers. I also had a confirmed room and he gave that away when I was next in line he said he had no more rooms left even though I had a confirmed room. Very unprofessional and he needs to be talked to or written up or something like that. I forgot his name. Not that it matters but he was an African-American gentleman working at night if this helps at all because he would not give his name at all. I was forced to sleep on the floor of the hotel lobby In which he came by around 8 AM and said I have to leave. Do not stay here
Close to the airport so that was very convenient. I am a Hilton Honors member and was not given my normal 2 bottles of water and instead would be charged $3 per bottle. I used one of the $3 bottles of water and the coffee maker in my room was broken. Terrible start to the morning. The carpets were old and stained. The highlight of the stay was the staff. Everyone I came in contact with was VERY friendly. PS... Dont charge for parking. That is a BS that I feel hotels are doing all over and it's just a way to take advantage of your customers, in my opinion.
I would not recommend staying at this hotel. I have been staying at Hilton properties for over 10 years, and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. At 9:15 PM, I received a call from the assistant general manager, Vanessa, asking whether I would still be checking in because the hotel had sold out and she had other guests waiting. I clearly confirmed that I would absolutely be staying and would be arriving later that night, and she assured me that my room would be held and that I had nothing to worry about. However, when I arrived around midnight, I was told the hotel was sold out and my room had been given away. It was incredibly frustrating and disappointing, especially after receiving direct confirmation that my reservation was secure. There was no real solution in place, and the front desk staff had to scramble until nearly 2:00 AM before sending me to another hotel 10 minutes away. This was a terrible experience, and I am still in disbelief that it happened. I will be escalating this to Hilton corporate, and I strongly advise others not to stay here.
I guess if you need a place to stay close to the airport., then okay. When I stayed here, they are going through a remodel and didn't even pretend to try to make things comfortable outside your room. The restaurant and bar looked like a 6th grade class set it up. We walked in and had to figure out what was going on. The front desk wasn't much better. Maybe after the remodel things will be better, but a very disappointing stay for our last night in Georgia.
3 night stay. Had a rough start. Got to the property around 1030pm and the keys they gave us didn't work, then the next set didn't work, then found out there was someone else in the room already. The front desk guy was completely indifferent about it. Didn't get into a room until almost midnight. Had to be escorted to the room since he couldn't make any more keys for us. Rooms are outdated and like the rest of hotel, need repairs. Wall paper peeling, tub spout leaking, handles loose, and paint chipping. The gym equipment needs replaced (see photo). Their property is under a lot of renovations. Pool, restaurant, and lobby all closed. Website only says "some public areas closed". The food they serve is all either microwaved or deep fried. Paper plates and plastic utensils only. Charged like it is a sit down restaurant. The carrot cake was great though. And the experience leaving was similar to arriving. Was waiting for airport shuttle from 325am till 400 am. The 330 shuttle never showed up. When he finally came at 4, he had his friend in the shuttle with him. found was Overall terrible service. Would not recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Very spacious and clean. Close to airport. Large field to walk dogs. But that is about all that is good. Very outdated. Pool drained and closed. And not even complimentary drinks at breakfast. Very very limited breakfast menu. Staff also wasn’t the most pleasant ones I’ve met.
My room was feet away from the "restaurant" which was very convenient. The ice machine how ever was further of a walk. Front desk service was excellent. The food is from the restaurant. Nice menu. Not cheap, but hey you have to pay for convenience. I would stay again for sure.
Mediocre hotel. If you’re staying for a short time, it’s fine. Shower kept making loud noise. When checking out, no sense of customer care. Maybe because the breakfast room was under renovation, the menu was subpar. Very unorganized when it comes to dealing with breakfast payment. I was charged and was told prior that I’d receive a Hilton credit for breakfast.
The location is ok. They advertise breakfast and there was no breakfast. When I walked in the room, they had a locked mini fridge with water and juice and no attendant anywhere in sight to unlock it for you and a waffle maker. That was it, that was all. I reserved my room and checked in through the app. I chose one room and by the time my digital key was ready, I was put in a different room and charged $17 more with no explanation. Our closet door was missing one of the panels so there was only one mirrored panel on the door. When I walked into the hotel, I was not greeted at all. I only stayed one night. I don't think I would stay here again.
After my Delta flight was delayed for 2 hours, I missed my connecting flight in Atlanta and received a hotel voucher at 12:00 am. I chose the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport Millennium Center due to Hilton's “great” reputation. After taking a shuttle to the hotel, we were shocked to see a long line of people outside who were waiting to be checked in. Ater 3 hours, I’m still waiting in line at 3:27 am, and there are about 50 people in front of me. The shuttle doesn’t seem to be running anymore, and no one answers the phone to take the shuttle back to the airport. There are also people laying on the floor and on chairs sleeping. There is only one person checking people in, so the line is moving super slow. Also someone threw up on the hall way, and there is no one to clean it up. The front desk clerk is busy trying to process the people in line, and each one takes about 10 minutes. I’m so disappointed in Hilton! Shouldn’t people be on call to work for busy nights like this? I would not recommend this hotel. My flight is at 11:00 and by the time I get a room, I won’t have time to rest before going back to after the airport and then to work. So dissatisfied and disappointed!! Update: At 4:30 am, I’d had enough and took the shuttle back to the airport and changed my flight to 8:40 am. I haven’t slept at all and am exhausted. If you want a nice place to stay and rest in, I recommend finding a different hotel!
