The Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport/Millennium Center is a convenient, albeit somewhat dated, option for travelers needing proximity to the airport. Recent reviews highlight challenges with cleanliness, including mold and questionable food quality, as well as staffing issues such as indifferent front desk staff, shuttle delays, and room assignments that violate requests. While some guests appreciate the spacious rooms and helpful staff (particularly in one instance), overall, the experience has been marred by inconsistent service and noticeable maintenance issues.
I guess if you need a place to stay close to the airport., then okay. When I stayed here, they are going through a remodel and didn't even pretend to try to make things comfortable outside your room. The restaurant and bar looked like a 6th grade class set it up. We walked in and had to figure out what was going on. The front desk wasn't much better. Maybe after the remodel things will be better, but a very disappointing stay for our last night in Georgia.
3 night stay. Had a rough start. Got to the property around 1030pm and the keys they gave us didn't work, then the next set didn't work, then found out there was someone else in the room already. The front desk guy was completely indifferent about it. Didn't get into a room until almost midnight. Had to be escorted to the room since he couldn't make any more keys for us. Rooms are outdated and like the rest of hotel, need repairs. Wall paper peeling, tub spout leaking, handles loose, and paint chipping. The gym equipment needs replaced (see photo). Their property is under a lot of renovations. Pool, restaurant, and lobby all closed. Website only says "some public areas closed". The food they serve is all either microwaved or deep fried. Paper plates and plastic utensils only. Charged like it is a sit down restaurant. The carrot cake was great though. And the experience leaving was similar to arriving. Was waiting for airport shuttle from 325am till 400 am. The 330 shuttle never showed up. When he finally came at 4, he had his friend in the shuttle with him. found was Overall terrible service. Would not recommend.
I was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. Very spacious and clean. Close to airport. Large field to walk dogs. But that is about all that is good. Very outdated. Pool drained and closed. And not even complimentary drinks at breakfast. Very very limited breakfast menu. Staff also wasn’t the most pleasant ones I’ve met.
My room was feet away from the "restaurant" which was very convenient. The ice machine how ever was further of a walk. Front desk service was excellent. The food is from the restaurant. Nice menu. Not cheap, but hey you have to pay for convenience. I would stay again for sure.
Mediocre hotel. If you’re staying for a short time, it’s fine. Shower kept making loud noise. When checking out, no sense of customer care. Maybe because the breakfast room was under renovation, the menu was subpar. Very unorganized when it comes to dealing with breakfast payment. I was charged and was told prior that I’d receive a Hilton credit for breakfast.
The location is ok. They advertise breakfast and there was no breakfast. When I walked in the room, they had a locked mini fridge with water and juice and no attendant anywhere in sight to unlock it for you and a waffle maker. That was it, that was all. I reserved my room and checked in through the app. I chose one room and by the time my digital key was ready, I was put in a different room and charged $17 more with no explanation. Our closet door was missing one of the panels so there was only one mirrored panel on the door. When I walked into the hotel, I was not greeted at all. I only stayed one night. I don't think I would stay here again.
After my Delta flight was delayed for 2 hours, I missed my connecting flight in Atlanta and received a hotel voucher at 12:00 am. I chose the Hilton Garden Inn Atlanta Airport Millennium Center due to Hilton's “great” reputation. After taking a shuttle to the hotel, we were shocked to see a long line of people outside who were waiting to be checked in. Ater 3 hours, I’m still waiting in line at 3:27 am, and there are about 50 people in front of me. The shuttle doesn’t seem to be running anymore, and no one answers the phone to take the shuttle back to the airport. There are also people laying on the floor and on chairs sleeping. There is only one person checking people in, so the line is moving super slow. Also someone threw up on the hall way, and there is no one to clean it up. The front desk clerk is busy trying to process the people in line, and each one takes about 10 minutes. I’m so disappointed in Hilton! Shouldn’t people be on call to work for busy nights like this? I would not recommend this hotel. My flight is at 11:00 and by the time I get a room, I won’t have time to rest before going back to after the airport and then to work. So dissatisfied and disappointed!! Update: At 4:30 am, I’d had enough and took the shuttle back to the airport and changed my flight to 8:40 am. I haven’t slept at all and am exhausted. If you want a nice place to stay and rest in, I recommend finding a different hotel!
After a long stretch of flight delays and cancellations, the airline arranged a hotel stay, and I arrived exhausted and overwhelmed only to find that nearly everyone from the airport help desk had also been sent to this hotel. The lobby was packed, and the front desk line felt just as long and chaotic as the airport. What stood out immediately was that one employee was handling everything alone. I believe his name was Ellis, but in case I read his name tag wrong it was the night auditor working overnight on 12/28-12/29. Despite working completely solo, he showed an incredible amount of grace, patience, and professionalism. He was checking in guests, answering nonstop phone calls and responding to questions, all at the same time without ever losing his composure or kindness. No one came to assist him, yet he continued to move the line forward with care and respect for every guest. I reached the front of the line around 1:00 a.m., and when I had to leave again for the airport at 4:00 a.m., he was still there, steadily working through the rest of the crowd. That level of dedication, endurance, and genuine service is rare. He deserves to be recognized for his work ethic and the way he showed up for people when they truly needed it despite no one showing up for him to assist the massive line. This employee is an absolute credit to the hotel, and I hope he receives the acknowledgment he so clearly earned.
My experience here was extremely sub par. Our flight landed late at 1 am. Number one the parking fee was not disclosed when booking directly on Hilton. Number 2 when I walked in I was not greeted.. instead I had to surprise the front desk who was on their phone. Although she was nice when my presence was noted. This could have been avoided had I been allowed a digital check in but that was disabled. When we got in our room it was 76 degrees. So hot my son became ill. And the smell…. disgusting. The fridge was hot and not cooling. I placed my toddlers milk in there with hopes it would cool.. it didn’t. I had to go to the front desk at 6 am to find cold milk bc my 18 mo was screaming in the room. The same front desk person was on their phone and when I asked where to get milk she said go to the kitchen. I was met with an angry man telling me I had to pay for the milk which I reiterated several times it was not a problem. He kept telling me it was 4 dollars and again I said ok I have a screaming toddler how do I pay. He brought me a receipt which I charged to the room for 4 dollars and when my final receipt came it was charged for 5 dollars. Normally I wouldn’t care, but he was rude as heck and the service we received was absolutely despicable for 150 dollars for 10 hrs. I absolutely would not stay here ever again. Also the pillows suck and they only give 3 per bed which is weird. Don’t stay here if your looking for good service and comfort.
I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable this location was. The rooms are a little dated (still has a tub/shower) but it was very clean and comfortable. The staff was personable and friendly. The location is set up for those who may need to arrive before check in and stay after check out. Lots of places to sit and work while you wait for your room or transport to the airport. Shuttle service was excellent.
