The Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter at Villa Christina consistently receives positive feedback regarding its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. However, recent reviews highlight recurring issues with parking fees, inconsistent breakfast service, and occasional room maintenance concerns, particularly regarding bathroom cleanliness and bed comfort. The hotel seems to be struggling to maintain a consistent four-star experience across all aspects.
We chose this hotel because of the location and attractive rates. We stayed 5 nights over a weekend. The place is lovely, well maintained, with a fantastic staff. Food at Villa Christina for breakfast was excellent as was the service. Our meal in the cozy bar was also excellent. I can’t understate the service. Friendly, helpful courteous efficient. I walked one morning in the area - quiet with little traffic. However, the best walk started less than a mile away. We walked around Murphy Candler Park and Lake.
The overall experience was pretty good. The esthetics were beautiful, the hotel itself was very clean, the front desk and transportation staff were great. They were very accommodating and they assisted with anything we needed. The only major complaint I have is all of the confusion surrounding our group discount for breakfast. Some people ate free, some received a $5 discount and others were charged $20 and it was a mess. The front desk staff tried to minimize the confusion but it still wasn’t resolved and I was one of the people that had charges on their card upon checkout. For that kind of money, parking AND breakfast should be free (which is why I love Marriott!) Also, I didn’t see any indications that this was a per-friendly hotel until I saw someone with a dog getting in the elevator.
Came here for a 3 night 2 day stay booked out through Expedia. The area is very nice, safe and clean. The hotel is clean and you rarely see anyone. I didn’t eat at the dining but I went there in the morning during buffet time and it was empty and any time I’d walk past “The Barrel Room” it was empty so not sure how the food is here. They do have a Starbucks on site but they don’t have all the items on a regular Starbucks menu, however you can definitely get your coffee and pastry. They are also close by some shopping area. The only down side I have with them is that in my booking out said parking was included but upon checkout the Receptionist said I had to pay for parking. I told him it was included in my booking reservation and that’s why I had book with them in the first place. The receptionist was very understanding and was able to remove the parking charges. Edit: 05/14/26 The parking fees was in fact not removed and I was charged $50 for parking and when I called Hyatt to remove the charges, I was told it was not gonna be removed. The hotel overall was good…. However, parking is not included and you’ll be charged a separate fee.
Dear Mary and Team, We enjoyed our stay very much at your hotel this week—so much so that I felt compelled to write and share my sincere gratitude. First, I would like to thank you and your front desk team for your warm hospitality and for the wonderful suite we received at check-in. The spacious layout made a big difference, allowing my husband to work comfortably in one room while we relaxed in the other. The parking accommodations were also extremely helpful—having access to the lower garage made a huge difference given the height of our vehicle, and it eased a concern I had prior to arrival. The kids especially enjoyed the cheese crackers and fruit platter—it arrived at the perfect time before we headed out to dinner and felt like such a thoughtful touch. I also want to recognize your outstanding staff. Sige treated us like royalty at breakfast, ahe is such a delight and housekeeping went above and beyond by ensuring our room was perfectly prepared, including setting up the sofa pullout ahead of our arrival. Kissy at the front desk was friendly and efficient during check-in and di a great job explaining the breakfast hours. Keith is truly a great asset—he made a point to greet us each time we saw him, which did not go unnoticed. Him, Dicana, and another young lady whose name I unfortunately didn’t catch all made our check-out experience smooth and pleasant. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed your accommodations and the exceptional hospitality from you and your team. We look forward to staying with you again the next time we travel to Atlanta. Warm regards, Mina Nikolic
CUSTOMER BEWARE!! This location is very suspicious of fraudulent activity. I checked in 2/13/26 at approximately 10:30 pm. As I’m walking to the counter to check in the receptionist does not greet me. Instead of being greeted I have an aggressive woman demanding my id and form of payment. It was late and based on the current interaction I discerned this individual is confrontational. She puts my form of payment card details up next to her on the counter and suspiciously a male worker walks up and I did not consider that a coincidence. I’m asked for my email address for my receipt to be emailed ( never received) just to see this woman reading the info on my id!!! I did not engage with her and decided I would report all of her behavior with corporate. Now that I have checked in I go to my room which was clean however, the mattress was lumpy and full of springs! I’m so disgusted with this location and will never stay here again. I do like The Hyatt and hope corporate will look into this location.
My 4-year-old daughter had eye surgery at Meridian Mark Hospital today and we had to be there at 6:00AM so, considering we live almost an hour and a half away, we decided to get a hotel room that was decent, priced well, and ideally as close to the hospital as possible. I booked a non-smoking room with 2 queen beds online for same-day arrival (but also late, as I scheduled our check-in time for 10:30PM) on the 15th and checkout at 5:30AM on the 16th (7 hours later.) It ended up being $210 which includes parking + a refundable $50 deposit. The room, beds, bathroom, etc., were all very nice and clean but the beds were uncomfortable and unnecessarily loud (we could hear our daughter rolling around in her sleep on the other bed all night, I swear we could hear her move her pinky finger on those sheets lol.) Regardless, we woke up this morning and drove a total of 6 minutes from the hotel parking lot to the hospital parking lot—worth every penny.
We had a 5 night stay at the Hyatt Regency Villa Christina and was thoroughly impressed. The hotel is tucked away in a very quiet area, which made it feel like a peaceful retreat from the bustle of the city. The property has been beautifully renovated, blending modern elegance with a welcoming atmosphere. Our room was spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. One of my favorite features was the cute outdoor patio—it was the perfect spot to enjoy some fresh air and unwind after a long day. The attention to detail in both comfort and cleanliness really stood out. Overall, this hotel offers a serene environment with stylish updates and excellent accommodations. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Atlanta. The breakfast was great also, especially the buffet on Saturday has variety of options.
This hotel is an absolute joke and an embarrassment to the Hyatt Regency brand. I booked an Executive Suite and had reasonable expectations given the Hyatt name. What I walked into was disgusting. The floors were covered in pubic hair, the room immediately felt unsanitary, and there were boogers smeared into the nightstand. There were visible human intimacy stains throughout the room, and the ceiling paint was peeling with what appears to be black mold forming. The property is in extremely poor condition, and the room was completely subpar at best—revolting at worst. I genuinely did not feel safe or comfortable sleeping here. I contacted World of Hyatt to request my points back so I could relocate to another Hyatt property and was told that was not possible. I asked if checking out would allow my points to be returned—again, no. I am now stuck paying for a product that is neither sanitary nor safe. Out of sheer precaution, I showered wearing my workout shoes because the room felt that dirty. The front desk experience matched the condition of the room. The man who checked me in was wearing a T-shirt and a True Religion hoodie, making it genuinely difficult to even tell if he was an employee. Completely unprofessional. This property is the definition of a one-star hotel and is more comparable to a Red Roof Inn or Howard Johnson than a Hyatt Regency. I do not recommend staying here under any circumstances. I actively discourage it. This is hands down the worst Hyatt experience I have ever had, and it has made me seriously reconsider staying at Hyatt properties altogether. I will be checking into another hotel this evening because this place is simply gross. Do not stay here.
The room was great (beds comfortable, bathroom clean); the furniture was moderately "beat up". Just a First World thing. I met Sige, my server in the restaurant. What a terrific lady! Heads up: they didn't have the breakfast buffet (unannounced), so be prepared to pay a la carte. I recommend it, though. Delicious!
Issues started at checkin. Amenities were not explained but just handed a sheet of paper. Rooms need to be renovated. Was in one of their suites and the AC control is difficult to adjust; AC takes couple of hours to cool down and thermostat temp does not correspond to the room temp; No hangers in the room; Trash doesn’t get taken out several times even though housekeeping is every day; Lounge breakfast in the Regency club is average compared to other HR hotels.
